Should we take a journey back to what happened yesterday? Just kidding. Wow I am still amazed. Whoa what the f**k happened to me yesterday. That was damn!!!!!!!!!!!!

You might be wondering what happened after the people acknowledged me as the Overlord and bowed for me. Well you know what happens in a movie when the gods confirmed who the next king will be. Yeah, you are right. Today is my inauguration as the new Overlord and all witches and wizards will be there. I was taken to my palace and OMG it is very spacious, beautiful and elegant. The flowers in the garden, the golden statue which is made after a Korean myth called Haechi, the tea hut and so on and so forth. I mean I can’t even mention it all. Don’t get me started on how beautiful my room is.

My room is very big, spacious, beautiful, amazing I don’t even know how to describe it. It is something I have never seen and it is beyond my imagination. What I noticed about my palace, yeah I am going to call it mine since I am the Overlord so back to what I was about to say, what I noticed about it is that, it flows in gold. The whole house is in gold. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying I don’t like it, I was just wondering if they haven’t wasted so much gold on the palace.

I sat in my bath tub with the maids bathing me. I was savouring the moment. Do I sound happy? Yeah I do sound happy but I am nowhere close to happiness. I am just satisfied that have got something to live for. I don’t have to go back to the life I tried so hard to fit in, I don’t have to go back to the life where it is hard to trust people. I am not saying I trust those that are here but at least they don’t act like they like me. They are not back belles. I am picking up the pieces of my life to start all over again and this is the beginning of my life all over again. I have the burden of the world on my little shoulder and I should as well be responsible for everything that happens. I got lost in my thoughts I didn’t realize they are done bathing for me.

I started getting ready for the ceremony. My dress is beautiful I won’t deny it so is my shoes. I had a makeover so my straight black hair was coiled and it makes me look awfully beautiful don’t mind the awfully. My make up too was great but I told them I want a slight make up so I wont say my make up is heavy. It is simple yet beautiful. I had a red lip stick on because I was wearing a red gown. The gown looks like a ball gown. My shoes were gold so I had champagne blush on. Don’t ask how I know all these I am into facial and fashion beauty. After so many female wastage of time, we were done and I can finally go join the on-going ceremony.

The decorations for the ceremony are quite lavishing. There were eight twin spanned arches of tubular steel that illuminates at night so I guess the ceremony will be still night fall. The arches were lifted into place by giant cranes. Linking the arches down the route were the long lines of standards mounted with golden crowns and each hung with eight scarlet banners bearing the Royal monogram. Whoa, the crown looks so magnificent and beautiful. Made thousands of years ago, the crown features roses, shamrocks and thistles with over 5,000 diamonds and 900 pearls. The procession was made up of the council of elders, Royal household, the Monest and the Yanem of the Guard.

The coronation fell into seven parts. The recognition, the oath, the anointing, the investiture and the homage. The recipe for the anointing oil contains oils of roses, cinnamon, orange, musk, ambergris and geranium.

The elders seemed relaxed and not so tired well I wouldn’t blame them, they have witnesses so many ceremonies.

It was time for my coronation. I was nervous because this is it. The beginning of a new chapter of my life. Like they say, when a door closes a new and bigger one opens.

During the investiture, I was asked to put on a newly made Colobium Sindonis and a robe of cloth of gold called the Damatic of Spertuca. The council of elders presented me with golden spurs which symbolises Chivalry after which the Monest presented a jewelled sword, the armills, the golden necklace which symbolises Loyalty to the People and the golden bracelet of time which symbolises Sincerity and Wisdom. I put on the stole and cloth of gold Royal robe and received the orb I formed yesterday, the coronation ring, the glove and the sceptre that will carry the orb.

I was crowned on the Overlord’s chair made centuries ago. It is permanently kept it in the sacred room. The Overlord’s crown was placed on my head during the coronation service and jezees the diamonds and the pearls are no joke because this crown must weigh 5 pounds and 12 ounces. Not to forget the crown is made of gold. No jokes, these people are obsessed with gold. After the crown was the orb. It is a globe of green girdled by green emeralds, rubies, sapphire with a large amethyst at the summit.

The coronation ring known as The Ring of Life was placed on my fourth finger on my right hand in accordance to tradition. The ring has been worn at every coronation by the past Overlords. The Royal household was given the honour to wear the golden necklace for me.

It was time for me to make an oath.

“I Tiwatope Benita Lawson declare before you all that my whole life whether it is short or long, it shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong. I swear by the Creator that on becoming the Overlord, I will be faithful and bear allegiance to my ancestors, people and heirs. I will give my loyalty to the people and respect their rights and freedom.” I made my oath and that was literally it. I was crowned the Overlord and all that is left is to make merry.

After the whole ceremony was done, I went to bed because it was late in the night already. But before I went to bed, I knew that this was the BEGINNING OF THE END.
