The White Wolf

Chapter 2.

[Freyas POV]

We were finally getting close to The White Moon territory and for some reason I was starting to feel nervous.. or excited I couldn't tell which one.

"I'm just going to call my nan and let her know we are close" I said to Ashleigh.

I dialed her number and put her on the Bluetooth speaker in the car.

"Hello?" came my nans sweet voice through the speaker.

"Hi nan! I just wanted to let you know that we will be there in about five minutes ok?"

"oh of course sweetheart me, your grandad and your uncle Owen will be outside the pack house waiting for you"

"Ok nan see you soon! love you!"

"see you soon, I love you too" and I hung up.

I could feel the excitement rolling off of Asheligh in waves and she was jiggling her leg.

"girl can you calm down? you're giving me anxiety" I said to her with a little chuckle.

"I'm sorry I'm just so excited!!" she said with a big smile on her face, which made me smile too.

We went on an off road path through some trees and then I saw the gates to the pack with a guard sat in a booth by the gate, I stopped when I got close to him.

"Hi! I'm Freya Knight, I'm here to see my grandparents" I said to him with a smile.

His eyes clouded over as he was mindlinking someone and then they went back to normal.

"Go on through" he said and nodded.

The gates opened and I drove through, we passed by small town houses. It was so beautiful, it just looked like town.

All of a sudden my wolf Star started to stir in my mind.

"Hey, You ok?" I asked her.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just on alert, a lot of new wolves... and smells" she replied.

I suppose this would be a lot for her, there are a lot of new scents obviously.

I looked over at Ashleigh who seemed to be talking to her wolf aswell, and then the pack house came into view. It was a huge mansion, Ashleighs jaw dropped and I could feel her excitement again.

As we pulled up to the pack house and I saw my grandparents and uncle I gave them the biggest smile, I couldn't help but wonder where Sam was though. I stopped the car and jumped out and I hugged my grandparents tight.

"oh hunny, be careful you will crush us haha" my nan said.

"Oh sorry" I let them go and turned to my uncle Owen he hugged me and lifted me off the floor and spun me around while I laughed.

He put me down and I turned around to see Ashleigh only just getting out the car.

"guys you remember my best friend Ashleigh right?" I asked them all.

"Of course dear how could we forget" My nan replied.

"hello Mr and Mrs White" Ashleigh greeted my grandparents.

"Beta Owen" she said and lowered her head.

Ashleigh is an Omega so she feels like she has to treat any ranked members as if they were Alphas regardless of who they were but I know that my family wouldn't want her to feel like that around them.

"Ashleigh dear how many times must I tell you to call us by our names? or even nan and grandad if you feel comfortable?" my nan said to her.

"Yeah and none of that Beta Owen stuff, just call me Owen and well in a few days I'll be stepping down as Beta and my son Dean will be taking my place so I won't be a Beta anymore anyway hahaha" My uncle laughed.

"I'm sorry, it's just the way I have been brought up. But thank you" Ashleigh said.

"Hey uncle Owen, speaking of Dean.. Where is he?".. And Sam but I wasn't going to ask that part out loud.

"Oh he's with Sam at some meeting at a pack nearby, but don't worry they will be back before your welcome party tonight" he winked at me.

a welcome party? We were only going to be here for a couple of months it's not like we are new pack members.

"you're having a welcome party for us?" Ashleigh asked with a smile.

"Oh of course it was Luna Amanda's idea though, you know how much she loves you Freya.. and loves any excuse for a party" my nan smiled at me.

Goddess I'm not going to lie when she said Luna my stomach dropped until I realised she meant Sams mum, I need to keep it cool.

"so um.. Has Sam met his mate yet?" I asked... way to keep it cool Freya, I gave myself a mental face palm.

"Oh no not yet unfortunately, not that Luna Amanda minds she likes still being acting Luna while there isn't one" my grandad replied.

Ok phew so no mate yet, I don't know why I'm so bothered. Like I said before there's a tiny possibility that he would reject me.

"oh my Goddess will you stop thinking like that already? If he is our mate he would never reject you" Star said in my mind, I could practically feel her smacking me in the head.

I just ignored her.

"Anyway let me show you to your guestroom girls" uncle Owen said.

We grabbed our bags from the car and made our way to the front of the pack house.

We walked through the massive doors, the entrance to the house was amazing. High ceilings, with pillars down the long hallway.

"Freya you already know where everything is if you want to give Ashleigh a tour later" he said.

We went up to the third floor, which is the Beta floor. The top floor is for the Alpha and Luna of course, we stopped outside the room and my uncle gave me the key.

"Make yourselves at home ladies, get settled in and come down for some lunch when you're ready" he gave us a nod and left us to it.

Ashleigh was looking around the room in amazement, it was a beautiful room. the walls were a burgundy colour and the room had gold accents to it, there was a gold chandelier hanging from the ceiling, a floor length mirror with a gold frame and it had a walk in wardrobe and there was two double beds with burgundy and gold bedding.

I started unpacking some of my stuff, I pit the toiletries away in the bathroom and there was a knock at the door, Ashleigh looked at me confused. I went to open the door and as I did I was engulfed in a bear hug and heard a high pitched squeal.

"FREYAAA!"

"EMMAAA!" I replied with a laugh.

she finally let me go and held me at arms length.

"Girl it's been three years, look at you! you have blossomed into an absolute beauty... Not that you weren't before, but damn girl! hahaha"

She looked over at Ashleigh and let me go.

"oh sorry we haven't met, I'm Emma, Im the Gamma female" she said and hugged Ashleigh.

"Hi! I'm Ashleigh, it is so nice to meet you. Freya has told me a bit about you" Ashleigh smiled at Emma.

"Oh all good I hope" she said with a laugh.

"right ladies are we going down to lunch? I am starved" I said, they both nodded.

As we headed down to the kitchen my mind was wandering to Sam, I felt excited to see him later. Like really excited for some reason, I know I've had a crush on him since I was like 15 but I'd never felt this before.

" Oh so I heard we're having a party later?" Ashleigh asked Emma.

"Oh well nothing fancy girls don't worry, we're going to be having a barbecue in the pack house back garden so all the pack members can join if they want to, or they can come by say hi, grab food and go back to their homes" Emma replied.

"Oh I love a good barbecue specially if nan is making her potato salad, literally drool just thinking about it" the girls just laughed at me.

We got to the kitchen and I was engulfed in another hug, Goddess I was being hugged alot today. But I didn't mind.

"Freya darling it's so lovely to see you" Luna Amanda said while still holding me, just like Emma she let me go and held me at arms length.

"My goodness you are even more beautiful then I remember" she said while looking me up and down.

"Well I'm being complimented alot today, I could get used to it" I said with a giggle.

"Well people are just telling the truth Frey" I turned to see Sams dad Alpha Joe at the table standing up to greet me.

"Alpha Joe!" I went over to hug him.

"Oh I've missed you all so much" I said

"Hey none of this Alpha business, I'm not the Alpha anymore remember?"

"oh I know, old ,habits Joe haha"

I saw Ashleigh standing in the kitchen entrance looking out of place.

"oh everyone this is my bestfriend Asheligh.. Ashleigh this is Luna Amanda, Alpha Joe and.." I looked around the kitchen for the kitchen Omegas and I spotted them.

"Oh Mr and Mrs Grey!" they came over and gave me hug.

"This is Ashleigh, Ash this is Mr and Mrs Grey they are the head kitchen Omegas and their food is the best in the whole world!... don't tell our kitchen Omegas that though" we all laughed.

Me and Ashleigh finally sat down and had some food.

"Ok I think I need to have a little nap before the barbecue later" I said I stood up and Ashleigh nodded at me.

"Oh Luna Amanda, what time is the barbecue later?" I asked her.

"It's not starting til about 6ish hunny so take your time"

It was just gone 1pm now so I could get a good hour nap and then maybe go to the pool for a bit later.

we got back to the room and flopped down on the beds and drifted off to sleep.
