Ishaan and Arohi had built a beautiful life together. Surrounded by supportive friends and family, both excelled in their careers and cherished their time together. Ten months into their marriage, Ishaan's new projects demanded more of his time, but he always ensured to carve out moments for Arohi.
When their close friends, Aman and Nina, decided to get engaged, Ishaan and Arohi enthusiastically assisted Aman in planning a memorable proposal. The joy of witnessing their friends' happiness deepened their own bond.
One sunny Saturday morning, Ishaan suggested, "How about we go for a jog in the park and then have a picnic? It's been a while since we spent some time outdoors together."
Arohi's eyes lit up. "That sounds perfect! I'll prepare some sandwiches and lemonade."
As they jogged through the park, the sounds of children's laughter filled the air. They slowed down, observing kids playing tag, flying kites, and chasing bubbles. A particular scene caught Arohi's attention: a little girl, no older than three, giggled uncontrollably as she tried to catch a butterfly.
Arohi smiled warmly. "She's adorable, isn't she?"
Ishaan nodded, a mischievous glint in his eye. "She is. You know, our kids would be just as cute."
Arohi's cheeks flushed. "Oh, really? And when did you start thinking about our future kids?"
"Well," Ishaan teased, "seeing you with that baby fever look got me thinking. But maybe we should enjoy a bit more 'us' time before we add a little one to the mix."
Arohi playfully nudged him. "You're incorrigible!"
They found a cozy spot under a large oak tree and laid out their picnic. As they enjoyed their meal, a young boy toddled over, eyeing their basket curiously.
"Hello there," Arohi greeted, her voice gentle. "Would you like a sandwich?"
The boy nodded eagerly. Ishaan handed him a small sandwich, and the boy's face lit up. "Thank you!"
A woman hurried over, slightly out of breath. "I'm so sorry! He's quite the explorer."
"No worries," Ishaan replied with a chuckle. "He's got a good taste in food."
The mother smiled gratefully and led her son back to their picnic spot. Arohi watched them, her expression softening. "Kids do bring a special kind of joy, don't they?"
Ishaan took her hand, squeezing it gently. "They do. And when the time is right, we'll have our own little explorer."
Arohi leaned her head on his shoulder. "I look forward to that day. But for now, I'm cherishing every moment with you."
They sat in comfortable silence, watching the children play, dreaming of the future while savoring the present.
