Chapter 27

The Last Day in Bali Arohi spent her last few days in Bali exploring the island’s wonders—from the breathtaking rice terraces of Ubud to the vibrant streets of Seminyak. She walked along the lively markets, picking up souvenirs and tasting exotic fruits. She dipped her toes in the crystal-clear waters of Nusa Dua, feeling the gentle waves wash over her feet. For the first time in a long time, she allowed herself to breathe freely, away from the heaviness of her past. And through it all, Ishaan was there. He made sure there were no awkward silences, no lingering sadness—just joy and adventure. He teased her endlessly, made her laugh until her stomach hurt, and convinced her to try new things. One afternoon, he challenged her to a surfing lesson, laughing as she struggled to maintain her balance on the board. She pouted in frustration, but the moment she finally stood up on a wave, Ishaan cheered so loudly that people around them turned to look. Another day, they went snorkeling in the coral reefs, where colorful fish swam around them in a mesmerizing dance. Arohi was mesmerized by the beauty of the ocean, and Ishaan couldn't help but admire how she looked under the sunlight, her eyes filled with wonder. It was as if Bali was working its magic on her, slowly healing her heart. But little did she know, Ishaan had one last surprise waiting for her. The Surprise Gift As the sun began to set, Arohi returned to their villa, feeling exhausted but happy. She opened the door to their bedroom and found a beautifully wrapped box on the bed, along with a handwritten note: "For the most beautiful woman in the world. Wear this tonight and meet me at the beach." – Ishaan Curious, she unwrapped the box and gasped softly. Inside was a stunning, deep red bodycon dress, elegant yet undeniably sexy. She held it up against her body and bit her lip, feeling a rush of emotions. What was Ishaan up to? Her heart pounded as she got ready. The dress fit her perfectly, hugging her curves in all the right places. She let her hair fall in soft waves, applied a touch of makeup, and slipped on a pair of heels. The moment she stepped outside, a private car was waiting for her. The Candlelit Dinner by the Beach The driver took her to a secluded beachfront, where the scene before her took her breath away. A path lined with glowing lanterns and scattered rose petals led to an intimate dining setup on the sand. A beautifully decorated table sat beneath a canopy of twinkling fairy lights, the soft sound of the waves crashing in the background. The air smelled of fresh flowers and ocean breeze, and the entire setting felt like something out of a dream. And then, she saw him. Ishaan stood at the end of the pathway, dressed in a crisp white shirt with sleeves rolled up, revealing his toned arms. His dark eyes glowed under the golden lights, filled with something deep and unspoken. The moment he saw her, his lips parted slightly in awe. “You look…” He trailed off, taking her in. “Absolutely breathtaking.” Arohi felt her cheeks warm. “Ishaan… this is beautiful. You really didn’t have to—” “I wanted to,” he interrupted softly, taking her hand and leading her to the table. They enjoyed a delicious dinner, sipping wine, reminiscing about their time in Bali. Arohi found herself completely at ease, her laughter coming effortlessly. But as the night deepened, she noticed something different about Ishaan—his fingers tapped lightly against the table, his gaze holding a mix of nervousness and anticipation. Just as dessert was served, Ishaan took a deep breath, stood up, and walked over to her side. The Proposal Before Arohi could react, Ishaan dropped to one knee. Her breath caught in her throat. The world around them blurred, the only thing she could see was Ishaan, looking up at her with eyes that held everything—love, vulnerability, and devotion. From his pocket, he pulled out a small velvet box, flipping it open to reveal a shimmering diamond ring. “Arohi…” His voice was slightly shaky, but his eyes were steady and sincere. “I have loved you in every way possible—even when you were lost, even when you were hurting. I never once saw you as anything less than extraordinary. You’ve made me laugh on days I thought I’d never smile again. You challenged me, pushed me, and made me a better person. And through it all, even when you didn’t realize it… I loved you.” Arohi’s vision blurred with tears. “I know you’ve been through so much pain, and I never want you to feel that again. I don’t care about the past anymore. All I care about is now and the future we could have together.” He took a deep breath, his voice filled with emotion. “Arohi… will you let me spend my life proving to you that love can be beautiful again? Will you let me be the one who makes you believe in it?” A tear slipped down her cheek. Her heart ached with the weight of his words, but at the same time, it felt light, as if a long-forgotten piece of her had finally found its place. She stared at him, at the man who had stood by her through everything. And in that moment, she knew. “Yes, Ishaan… I will.” A huge, relieved smile spread across his face as he slid the diamond ring onto her finger. Arohi stared at the ring, then back at him, overwhelmed with emotions. Ishaan stood up, cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing away her tears. “You’re mine now,” he whispered. And then, he kissed her. The kiss was soft at first, as if savoring the moment. But then, it deepened—filled with all the love, all the longing, and all the promises of their future. The waves crashed around them, the stars shone above, and for the first time in what felt like forever… Arohi felt truly, completely loved.
