How had I allowed myself to get played by another Peak brother? I thought I had wised up after thinking Logan was a lamb, when in reality, he was a terror. I thought Lynx was different.
He had a way of making me feel like we were the only two sane individuals left in this god-forsaken town. I thought we were two sides of a coin and somehow, we were finding a way together to change our fate. How could I have been so wrong, so blinded?
