"I THINK this is the right time to discuss the month-end profits," Uncle Jake responded to the people in the conference room, while I remained quiet, listening from the corner. Almost all the heads of the company departments were present because it had become a tradition to have a month-end meeting for updates and reports.
"Yeah! Jake is right," Dad added. "Well, since everyone is here, I think it's time to report on it." With Dad's signal, the head of the accounting department immediately stood up. "Inigo, you should listen to this." I looked at him. "Because in the upcoming meetings, you won't be with your Uncle Jake, so you need to study it carefully now." He gave me a stern look, leaving me with no choice but to nod and hide my uneasiness.
