I WINCED in pain as Ava's grip tightened on my hair, causing my heart to race with fear and anger. At that moment, I could only focus on the searing pain shooting through my scalp.
But just as I thought I couldn't bear it any longer, Inigo swiftly appeared by our side, his presence commanding and authoritative. He firmly grasped Ava's arm, forcing her to release her hold on my hair. The relief washed over me, and I stepped back to create distance between us.
