The silence in the East wing had grown larger that I had expected. I didn’t like that. It had been four nights since Bane had barged into my room. I couldn’t get that memory out of my head. Why did I kiss back? Why didn’t I push him away? What was happening to me? I wished that Nathaniel was at least around for me to talk to. It was always easy to have a conversation with him.
