I looked up as I heard a knock on the door. It was five successive knocks which meant that Grumpy was the one at the door. He said he would knock like that when he was coming back but didn't tell me why.
"The door is open," I said, not wanting to leave my position on the couch when the show just got even more interesting.
"I know it's open," he replied. "Did you do what I asked you to do?"
I was confused at first but I soon remembered that he told me to make sure I am dressed before he got back. He still didn't give me a reason.
"Yes, I did," I replied, my eyes still glued to the TV screen.
"Are you sure?"
