I could feel my body immediately heat up as my mind was thrown into chaos. The only thing I could think of was to run far away from him ASAP,but I was trapped under his weight and couldn't move an inch.
" Adrian...this is not right...we shouldn't be doing this". I managed to say as I tried my best to calm down.
" Doing what?" He raised a brow as a devilish grin appeared on his face. " I don't see anything wrong in trying to have a nice conversation with my sister...or are you having any different thought sis?" He said teasingly.
" You're the one having a different thought." I said as I began to struggle," can you please let me go".
" And why should I do that... don't you want me close to you Phoebe."
" No I don't...I want you far away from me." I said breathing heavily.
" Is that so..but I can vividly remember a particular person holding onto me like her life depends on me while refusing to let go." He said with a smirk on his face.
" I don't know what you're talking about" my face instantly turned red and I tilted my head to the side to avoid looking at him.
" Oh really...so why then is your body heating up all of a sudden and I can hear your heart pounding from here".
" Let go of me Adrian...if our parents see us like this it's not going to be funny." I tried to speak some sense into him while I pointed to the open door.
" Let me fix that " with one leg he pushed the door close then turned back to me. " Now..where were we".
" Seriously Adrian... this isn't funny anymore."
" Since you're still trying to play ignorant, maybe I should refresh your memory..." Immediately he said that his hands moved to trace my skin from my neck down to my breast while he stared straight into my eyes. My body instantly heated up, especially the lower part of my body that had become wet.
" That's enough Adrian". I said through shaky breaths as my chest heaved up and down. He slowly let go of me as he let out a small laugh.
" Now you remember" he said as he moved to sit on the bed.
" Whatever happened last night was a terrible mistake and we should forget about it."
" Hmm... it's not going to be easy forgetting about it,not when we are under the same roof." He said with a grin.
" Let's be serious here...no one must ever find out about last night most especially our parents or we are doomed"
" Yeah you're right...last night was a terrible mistake...but..." He paused and looked at me," I don't regret any of it Phoebe." He said and stood up walking back to were I stood. My heart beat increased with every step he took forward.
" Too bad I'm never going to have a taste of you again...now we're siblings..." He said as he stopped directly at my front.
For some weird reason I felt down when he said that, because a part of me wanted to experience that feeling again but I knew it was impossible...a sucide mission. I immediately perished that though in my mind because this was what I wanted...forget about everything that happened last night and make sure it doesn't repeat itself.
" From now on we continue living as siblings and not act suspicious in front of our parents...also,I want you to avoid me as much as possible...are we clear?" I said to him.
He didn't reply immediately, instead he began to walk towards the door and stopped just before he opened it, and without looking back he said to me," I'll do as you have said...but, that's not a promise." And with that he opened the door and walked out.
As soon as he left I released the breath I didn't know I have been holding for long. I sat on the bed replaying our conversation just now while I tried to steady my raging heart.
" It's alright Phoebe...we can do this...let the past remain in the past...you got this Phoebe". I whispered to myself as I placed a hand non my beating heart. Just then I heard a voice calling my name.
" Phoebe... Phoebe.." Eleanor called out as she walked into the room. " I can see you've settled in already" she said as she moved to sit beside me.
" Are you alright...you don't look good" she said as turned to look at me.
" I'm fine mum...just need to rest" I replied turning towards the other direction trying to hide my tensed face from her because I knew if she kept staring at me the more questions she would ask. And right now all I needed was peace of mind and space in order to arrange my thoughts.
" Alright if you say so...can you come downstairs for a minute".
"Why?" I turned to her and asked.
" Oh nothing much...Richard and I have something to say to you... I'll be waiting for you downstairs" Eleanor said as she stood up and left the room.
What exactly do they want to tell me now,I wondered to myself as I stood up and began to walk down. At this point I didn't want any other surprises. Things were already messy and complicated.
Whatever they had to say...has to be good...
