"Ten more minutes to go, class " I announce
As I stare at my watch
I notice few students writing so fast, their class assessment is going on
There are few students who have already finished their tests and are waiting to leave the classroom when the time is done
Few trying hard to finish it on time
Checking for mistakes
And there is she
Who hasn't even have touched her answer paper since the start
Her eyes are fixed on me
As she sits in the corner of the class
The sunlight hitting her face through the window
Making her skin looks bright
“Pens down
And everyone can leave the class "
I announce as I get on my step
As I start collecting the papers from the desk, as the students leave one by one
I keep my eyes fixed on the job I'm doing as she
