“I have decided now, please take good care of my new factory to build, it is all in your hands now Ms. Bernards and thank you for the concern”

I just smile hearing this from Davidson, actually, I try to look into the system of BCC when I got home earlier, and I saw that they are among those clients that BCC handles, my Dad was the one he has been deal with before.

We are now getting out of the restaurant when Sanhia approach me

“You really have that information huh? Just so you know you look amazing” she said that makes me feel good though earlier I don’t get her reaction towards Amanda who is looking at her.

“Thanks, so, who is next?” I ask

“It’s the Calvin Industry, they want to expand their property and Carsen already talk to them though not yet for the signing of contract maybe we can still do something about it,” she said and I know the Calvin family, they are famous with their hotels around the world.

We head our way to one of their hotels just to get some information about them, they are vocal to all especially around their hotels where it is stated at their lobby’s center area all their origin and their culture and beliefs.

“This Hotel is really something, it is very elegant here and looks, over there is what we are looking for,” Sanhia said so we walk towards the big board of the Calvins.

While we are reading it the manager of the Hotel approaches us.

“Hello there Ms. Bernards, I am Gerry Cruz the hotel manager, it is an honour that you visit our hotel,” he said

“Well, I just want to experience the elegance of Calvins, anyway can you enlighten me about them, I am keen to know it, I mean such an inspiration you know,” I said then throw a look at Sanhia which is just smiling simply on it.

“Not a problem Ms. Bernards, how about we do it over a snack, we have a fine dine here which is very cozy to eat and stay,” he said

“Sure, lead the way,” I said

Then we all walk to the restaurant and Gerry led us to the VIP table.

Indeed it is really cozy here at the restaurant, and then Gerry ordered for us and sits with us.

“So what do you want to know?” he asks

“Everything… I mean what their business is or how they start” I said

Then he tells us a lot about Calvin, how they start and how long are they now in the business.

While I am talking to Gerry I notice Sanhia is looking around the hotel, seem like looking for something so I hold her hand under the table and that where she gives me a look.

I returned a question look at her as well while still listening to Gerry then suddenly she asks something on him.

“When was this hotel built?” she asks

“This was built 2010, so it has eight years ago,” he said

“This restaurant is it already looks like this before?” she asks again that confuse me I mean why she is suddenly got interested in this hotel

“No, it is just a simple café style before, there has a glass window over there” he said and when I heard the café I give Sanhia a look and I roamed my eyes to this hotel and yes it seems really familiar, the picture of Mom talking to a woman that I receive in the email last night.

“I see, well she is asking about it since this hotel seems really familiar like my Mom was here before with a woman,” I said

“Of course, Ms. Samantha is our main customer and client here, you don’t remember? You were like in your 20’s that time, you are very young” he said that shocks me

I don’t know why I can't seem to remember things, I really don’t remember this place.

“I stay in France and the US so maybe I forget all of those memories though, is she with a woman? I mean did you remember her here talking to a woman?” I ask

“A woman… usually your Dad is with her here since BCC was the one who builds this Hotel, and regarding a woman, there is one I remember, wait I guess we still have the records,” he said then head his way somewhere and told us to wait

“I don’t know why I can't seem to remember things,” I said then look at Sanhia

“Well, do you have any head trauma before? Or anything that happens to you that may affect your brain?”

“Only that incident with the woman in black, that was 2014, I hit my head in the car window near me though I can still remember what happens there, the time she faces my Mom and whispers something” I explain

“That part is weird,” she said that confuse me

“Why weird?” I ask

“Because you can remember the way she held your Mom and then whisper to her but you never mention what happened next, did she even say something to you? I mean what happen next?” she said which makes me think of it, she has a point I don’t really remember what has happened next that time, all I know was my Mom becomes different after that happen.

I was about to say something when Gerry come back bringing a piece of paper.

“Here, her name is Mrs. Dhalia Milano which is also a guest here, she was always here with your Mom, as I remember Ms. Samantha said that she is her secretary before,” he said and on that part, I know Mom told me about her and yes I now remember her that is why her face seems really familiar though I remember I only saw her at pictures but not in person.

“Oh yes I remember I usually see her at the gathering but only in pictures since I am in France at that time,” I said

Then after the series of talks, we manage to get out of the Hotel.

“So, she is your Mom’s secretary, but what is that supposed to mean? Like why that anonymous sender send it to you? what for?” she asks and she has a point again like what is this picture all about

While we are heading on my car Sanhia’s cell rings

“Hey Jhon, what is it?” she said then put the call in speaker mode

“The email that you want me to check is not valid but I get the IP address that the sender used, I will send it to you now,” he said

“Okay Jhon thanks and also there is one more, could you check on this name, Dhalia Milano,” she said

“Okay, once I got the information I will let you know and by the way, since you said that I need to check on Savin’s cell, that is what I did, I check on it and there is no other suspicious call but there are two text messages from an unknown number,” he said then I throw a look at Sanhia and she just shrugs on me.

She was the one who told me to respect people’s privacy now she is the one who even does the thorough research and investigation on Savin.

“Alright what was the text message all about?” I ask

“I will send it to your cell boss,” he said

“Also, Calvin’s auction is now started, I already created an invitation that I send to their system so they will expect you two” Jhonny said

“Okay sure we will check on that and will right away go there,” Sanhia said.

Then Sanhia receive a copy of the text message

“It is confirmed sir, the records are not real and the image is owned by the real one”

“Make sure your eyes and ears are open, they are our only hope, our mouth is shut so as our eyes and ears here, better give a help that is needed”

Upon reading the messages, it is really weird, like who sends it to him, but the thing I am seeing here is that it seems superior to him.

“It seems ordinary message but if you will read it again, they pertain to something or someone,” Sanhia said

“Yes, it is like they are conduction an investigation on someone,” I said and we just both look at each other then I guess we both got a hint.

After that even it is already afternoon we still manage to go to Calvin’s residence, there is an auction event that is happening there so we make ourselves quickly go there.

Like what Jhonny told us, they let us in, and I can see that there is a lot of construction company owner here with their secretaries.

“So this was it, Mr. Sebastian has always been invited here though it isn’t our line job the BCC though your father isn’t the person who will do the bet just to get the Calvins project,” Sanhia said

“You know this event?” I ask

“Yes, Calvin will auction their share stocks on one of their hotels and it can be a real win-win situation since they will pay or even double the payment depends on how much the auctioned amount will be availed of the rightful construction company who will win and also manage the expansion of their property, they own the share stocks plus will be paid double on the management of the said property, last time it was their Hotel in Palawan, the Marshall construction was the one who won the bet they also owned a share stock, actually the bidding starts in just very low amount, not even in millions since the Calvin will be the one to give you millions, the bidding usually starts at 40k pesos only which are really funny to think about, but highlighting to everyone that they double the payment so the bidder will do everything to higher the bid amount” she explains and yes this event is really weird like how special the Calvin is? I mean is it only because of money or something more…

“It is suspicious that they even do this, what’s with their all properties? I mean is it only coz of money, but I guess it is more likely a business, something that they all wont noticed coz they hide it in this event itself” I said

“What do you think is that?” Sanhia ask

“There are more than 50 construction companies here and all of them will join the bet where the starting bet is an unbelievable amount, of course, everyone will join coz it is just a very low amount though you will own share stocks it doesn’t make sense to you coz the more you bet on it and they will all fight for it, it will soon be higher amount, the Calvin promise to double the payment provided that the proposed payment is only 15 million and they will double it so of course, it is a strategy, though if you will notice it, they will need to pay the amount of the last bid how much it is so even they will double it they already get the half, and of course every auction has the initial bid who wants to join, it is meaningless that you join here just to be chosen by the Calvins” I explain and I can see Sanhia gets it all.

“Still we need to win the auction, I already saw Amanda here, everyone expect that Carsen will get,” she said

“Not so, look around you; everyone is looking at us now, they already know our presence, the BCC is now taking off getting to the spotlight,” I said

“Yes and Amanda is now heading our place at 12 o'clock,” she said

And when I'm about to turn around she is already in front of us

“Hi, I am Amanda Arsenas it is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Bernards the sole heir of Bernards corporation,” she said

“Hi, it is nice to know you too, and I am amazed you do your research huh,” I said and she just gives me a look then smile while turning her eyes on Sanhia and face her

“She is my secretary Sanhia Almoral,” I said

“Well hello dear, such a gorgeous secretary you have,” she said while staring at Sanhia

“Hi Ms. Arsenas, it is a pleasure to meet you,” Sanhia said

“The pleasure is all mine as well” she responded with a deep gaze on Sanhia

“Anyway excuse me, I have others to meet, see you again dear,” she said then lives Sanhia another look

I don’t know but I suddenly hate her actions towards her like how she treats Sanhia, what is she trying to do? Or trying to imply, she was like that even earlier at the restaurant.

After a minute the staff calls the attention of everyone since the auction is about to start now.

Then we place ourselves on our designated seats.

The Calvin’s Corporation owner appears in the front and gives a little speech.

I noticed Sanhia is now roaming her eyes around.

“Hey, is there something wrong?” I whispered

“No, well, I feel like I saw someone familiar but I am not sure,” she said

“Familiar like?” I ask

“Just a familiar face, anyway look they will start now,” she said and the host of the auction is now starting the bidding

“The Bidding is now open starts at 40 thousand pesos, for the benefits of winning the auction, Calvin Corporation will give a share stock of their one of the prestige hotel, also the company who is lucky to sign a contract in building the Calvin next property project will receive a double payment depends on how much the end bidding amount, also Calvins will give a 25% first payment within 4 months, the lucky construction company will be chosen here at the auction as well that is why this event is very special for all of the construction company here, so who wants to start?” the Host said then there are few who start and throwing the bidding amount.

Then in a few minutes, everyone was shocked to hear the next bid

“3 million pesos,” Amanda said and Sanhia just look at me so I get what she wants to say

I then stand up and lift my card then say my biddings

“5 million,” I said and everyone is now all eyes on me.
