Resting against the cold, copper-coloured wall, Jenkins peered down into the darkness beneath him. In the hours since the Black Visors had overseen the obliteration of the floors, MOF soldiers had used the doors of the storage containers and any other scrap metal they could pilfer. In teams, they created crude walkways along the beams left intact. Twice, the Nazis attempted to scale the walls to reach the girders along what was once the floor of Level 2. Both times the MOF soldiers shot them down like sitting ducks. Since then, the enemy had changed strategy. Instead, they focused on blowing holes in the walls to attack the various walkways head-on. So far, the MOF held.
