Lyulf pov The waves crashing over the rocks in the distance pound through my ears like the drums of war. And yet, as quickly as one can seize the life of their foe, a calm silence stretches over the shoreline like a sigh breathed across the ocean. She’s here. I continue downwind until I emerge through the clearing hidden in the trees. There I locate my belongings buried in a hatch in the ground. I shift into my male form and pull on a pair of jeans. White sand crumbles beneath my feet as I step out onto the beach and make my way to the shoreline.
