Ethan's POV

“ohhh alpha that was the best s*x we’ve had. I can tell you missed me as much as I missed you” I begin to think about what she said and realized I hadn’t bedded Ashley in months. She is overbearing and annoying but since I had been away from my pack for business, I was ready to f**k the first girl I could find which just so happened to be her.

‘’ Hello, are you listening to me?” Ashley huffs as I had been lost in thought.

“I did miss you and that exquisite body of yours” I lie, not wanting to hurt her feelings.

She looks at me and places her hands on my chest. I could tell she was thinking of something to say and as I see her smile creep up, I can already tell what its going to be about.

“You know, we’ve been seeing each other for 2 years now and you still haven’t found a second chance mate. As an alphas daughter myself, I would make an excellent Luna and if you chose me to be by your side you can enjoy this exquisite body whenever you wanted.”

“I know two things for certain. 1: that we’ve already discussed this. I’ve already told you I do not want to take a chosen mate as I already lost the mate given to me by the goddess herself and 2: that you love this as much as I do so I can have that body to myself whenever I want it” I say arrogantly while smacking her butt trying to piss her off on purpose so she would leave now.

“you’re right about that last part but you know that every pack needs a Luna and you can’t continue to ignore the needs of your pack. You’re doing an excellent job as alpha and if you had a strong woman by your side helping you with the duties of the Luna, you would have more time to become an even better alpha than you already are”

Deep down I know that she is right to a certain extent but even if I did select a chosen mate, it sure as hell wouldn’t be her. Ashley came to my pack 2 years ago when my beta Chris found his mate over at the Blood Moon Pack during a business meeting. She is my Betas sister-in-law and daughter of Alpha Richard. He is a respectable man and how one of his daughters turned out to be such a sl*t is beyond me.

I’m sure she only came to my pack with the intention of trying to f**k her way into a higher rank than her sisters by trying to seduce the sad widowed Alpha. Unfortunately for her, I already knew about her before she even arrived. She had already tried seducing other known alphas that eventually found their mates and sent her back to her father. I originally didn’t even want her near me. However, she is persistent and has a great body after all. There’s no denying that. I figured there was no harm in taking off the edge from time to time as long as we were both clear that this was strictly s*x but now she doesn’t seem pleased with our arrangement and doesn’t want to continue to be my bed warmer. She wants more from me than I am willing to give her.

“Get Out” I say as I clench my jaw and push her away. I’m trying to keep my wolf from surfacing, but I don’t think I can hold him for much longer if she doesn’t listen. He loved Anna and hasn’t been the same since loosing her. Hearing a s**t like Ashley say she can be better than her has rim boiling with rage.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you Ethan baby, it’s just that I love you and want you to give me a chance by seeing me for who I am instead of keeping me in Annas shadow”

At this point, Odin is seconds away from taking over. My eyes have turned pitch black and my claws have begun to extend outwards. I grab the stupid shewolf by her arm dragging her to my door and push her out naked into the hallway without caring who may see her.

“It is Alpha Ethan to you from now on! You are not in her shadow because you will never be in the position she was, and don’t you ever come into my room again or I will have you banned from my pack!”

I slam the door in her face and head to the bathroom so I can take a shower. I mind link one of my omegas to come into my room, clean it, and change my sheets right away. Tomorrow is going to be a long day and I need some rest. The last thing I want is to go to sleep with the smell of her overbearing perfume still in my room. I curse at myself for even allowing her back in here after I had already sworn to myself that I wouldn't do so again after the last time.
