Chapter ThreeLynn saw the illuminated red digits on the alarm clock beside the bed change to four twenty, before obsession gave way to fitful sleep. She rolled over to see the numbers at five thirteen and again at seven o'clock, when she climbed out of bed feeling hung over. She felt an instant of relief as she thought it might all have been a dream. Then it all came rushing back. Jesus, what had she done? She walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. “You must have gone crazy,” she said to the tired image.
