Jona thought he would forget about the disagreement and everything would go back to how it was. But he found himself slipping through the knots of a nauseous chain of thoughts. He didn't respond to Axel's text and returned home after a hectic day of work. Even when he was busy, he couldn't help but think about his girl every few minutes, hoping she was eating well, or sleeping fine.
When he caved and called her, Axel's phone was out of the network, so it saved him some resolve. He wanted Axel to realize her mistake this time, and he knew he would wait for her to come around. It wasn't okay to run away from problems instead of sitting together and talking about them.
He was spaced out in his thoughts when Coco patted his shoulder. "Yeah?"
"I said I had to talk to you about something."
