Was he the lord?

Nora ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Once, she stopped to catch her breath and got so angry and frustrated that she punched the car next to her leaving a huge dent on it.

For how long would she continue to run?

Having bodyguards was not even an option for her because they would be easily defeated by those superior beings. Even her own abilities was clearly out of this world.

She looked out to distance and spotted a very luxurious car. She recognized it immediately as she had always wanted one for herself but could not get it. Its speed ability was what she fancied most. She started to go in the direction of the car, before she could take two steps. Two shadows appeared before her

Damn! How could they catch up so fast?

"Come here" she beckoned to them with her fingers

Pah pah

They all went flying backwards.

Nora could hear the many footsteps approaching and quickly ran to the car. She opened it immediately and saw the driver was just about to drive away

She felt lucky for reaching it on time and quickly threw the driver out

"Sorry" she apologized before driving off

Without any sense of direction she just drove taking any corners she could find in an attempt to lose the men who were now following her

Her phone rang and she quickly picked it up

"Nora? Where are you? I can't find you anywhere, am getting nervous"

"I'm alright aria, I just had something urgent to do and had to leave without telling you. Sorry" Nora said while trying to sound normal

"Hey! You could have called me. I thought you had gotten into trouble with one of these men and was looking around for you"

Nora laughed "I'm fine okay. You don't have to worry too much about me. Bye"

Nora sighed and stepped on the accelerator but she was feeling strange like... someone was watching her!!

She looked into the rear view mirror and was met with a pair of bright eyes watching her intently. She was so startled that she almost crashed into a car "who... Who are you? "

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? You just stole my car and assaulted my driver"

Nora suddenly realized the man earlier was only a chauffeur. She felt so stupid not to have checked before entering the car but given the situation she wouldn't really have the chance

She also felt guilty as she had stolen a car while fleeing but was caught red handed by the owner

"I'm sorry, some guys were after my life and I had to do that. I promise to compensate you for any loss" she looked at the man who was so calm like he had no worries in life but he remained silent after a while he spoke

"Heh... Turn right"

"Why? "

"Just do as I say"

Nora had no choice but to do as he said. She wondered if he was trying to help her

"Take the corner at your left"

"Go straight"

Soon Nora found herself at a deserted road. She was confused and started to think the man was one of them and she was just going into his trap. With that she quickly stopped the car and glared at him "You are one of them right? I can't believe I followed your instructions thinking you we're trying to help!"

"Sure, I'll help"

"What do you mean?"

"I can help you but not without something in return"

"How can you help me when you don't even know what you're dealing with? These ain't some regular thugs"

The man merely smiled and silently went out of the car. The car which had been following them finally caught up and about seven men rushed out

"Get her! Don't let her escape this time!" They all rushed out

Nora watched as they came at her furiously she quickly took out a device from her pocket and was about to fight when she felt a gust a wind and those men were sent flying backwards.

Stunned, nora turned to the man who was leaning leisurely on his car with a hand in his pocket. He flashed a smile

Nora stood at the side and watched as the men came for her again but the same thing happened

Once the men were close enough they would be hit and thrown away brutally by an invisible force

They got beaten up badly with bruises all over their face and broken bones. They couldn't even stand properly

"So cool" nora thought as she watched the man even though it was dark and she couldn't get a clear look of the man's face she could tell he was handsome

Could he be a wizard?

Once upon a time she was among those who thought the supernatural does not exist but right now she was experiencing it first hand

If only she had half of these kind of power she wouldn't have to worry about anything right?

The men were all groaning in pain with some of their bones broken they fearfully tried to back away from the man

The leader was stunned and afraid as well. As far as he knew only the lord had these kind of power

Was he the lord?

He quickly dismissed the idea and looked at the man curiously suddenly the man waved his hand and they all appeared before him it was like being picked up by the wind and thrown to the ground.

They all landed hard on their knees in a straight line

"Great lord please spare us, don't take our life"

"We'll do anything you want us to do"

"Please spare our lives"

They all started to cry and plead

Nora was amazed

Was this thesame arrogant men?

"Who sent you" The man asked

They all looked at each other fearfully before turning to the leader

"It... It was an order from high above we can't disclose anything"

Soon there we're sounds of bones breaking and the painful groans of the men filled the surroundings

"It was the lord!" One of them shouted and broke into tears "He said to capture her alive

The lord?

Nora was puzzled "who is this f*****g lord? And what business do I have with him? Why would he want me?"

"Don't talk about our lord like that or... Ahhh ahhhh please stop"

"Heh... To hell with the lord. He should be thankful If i don't catch him because if I do I'll make sure to roast his butts!!"

"I'll help you with the roasting"

Nora coughed awkwardly and looked away as he released the men

"Th... Thank you for your generosity but can... Can I know who you are?"

"You want to know? Fine but you won't leave here alive" The man said coldly and there was a deadly aura around him

They all quickly ran away without looking back

The man turned to nora with a smile

At that moment Nora suddenly felt fear, she felt a cold breeze whipping her skin and she stepped back from him while he took a step forward

Could she run now?

"I told you, you would have to give something in return for my help"

After hearing him say this, she saw his eyes turn blue at that moment she could guess what he was trying to do but she was already lost in his gaze and started to lose her vision and then she fainted but the man caught her in time

With a smile he said "we meet again"
