𝙲𝚑𝚊𝚙𝚝𝚎𝚛 22

A week passed and Ji-wan hasn't come here or messaged me on my phone. I forgot to tell you this but I bought one a few weeks ago.

It is not that new of a model but it works just fine. I have a picture of Lily as my wallpaper just like any proud mom.

Unlike Ji-wan though, Officer Park has been pestering me. He drops by often and asks how I'm doing along with a bunch of sketchy questions.

I wonder how long it would take for him to c***k that I'm actually not from here.

The next day Ji wan drops by to say hi to Lily. He also brought his neice so the two can play.

"Do you plan on sending Lily to school soon?"

"Yeah. She needs to learn academic stuff too."

"Cool, where?"

"I still don't know and besides classes are not going to start yet."

We went on talking about Lily. Yet for us it was still a bit awkward. I don't know if he's pushing bounderies or anything like that. Maybe I just don't notice it.

He soon left after a snack, but I still wanted to talk to him about that night.

Days passed and Officer park showed up again.

"Now I have something for you."

He proceeds to get a warrant for me.

He explains what it is for and of course the good old rights.

He was about to cuff me but I pleaded that he won't do it in front of Lily. So we went outside.

I looked around and there were no police vehicles. Just his car with a police siren stuck on top of it.

Before he could cuff me, I grabbed my g*n and pointed it at him, but as the tension rised above us, I noticed someone also pointing a g*n at me.

I recognized the suit and the form of this person. A guard.

Shoot they found me.

I slowly tried to reach for the door knob and as I opened the door the guard fired a shot at me.

Officer Park was left outside as I rushed to take Lily. I went out again and yelled for him to cover me as I rushed to Officer Park's car.

"Excuse me what are-"

He got cut off as the shots got closer. He opened up the doors and we started to leave.

I put Lily at the back seat and made her lie down. Poor girl didn't know what was happening. I told her to calm down as I got into the driver's seat.

"Get in!"

I Yelled at Officer Park who was still busy shooting.

He got in and seemed to question if I could drive.

"Watch."

I commanded as I sped off into the road.

The guard who was after me also had a car and he chased us.

"Who is that?"

"I'll explain later. Where are the busy streets here?"

He told me the directions and we went on with the chase. Thankfully after some collisions and chaos we were finally able to get out of there.

We lost him and we drove to a secluded area. It was an unfinished construction site. Here it was not that safe yet but at least we are alone. We hid there for a while.

"That was, err. Okay you see I'm not like most people. I'm a secret agent."

He laughed at it and he didn't believe.

I got pissed and pushed him against the wall to show him a bit of proof.

"Anyone can do that. fight me again, you were just lucky to hit me hard last time."

I shook my head no and let him loose.

"Go, leave. You'll get into this mess if you mingle with me."

"Nah it was just some random shooting and you're just pretending."

He still refuses to believe.

I picked Lily up and we walk away. He follows after me and stops me.

"If you are then a secret agent. Why do you have this kid?"

"She's from where those girls you arrested were from. She was an orphan. I managed to rescue her on my escape. That's why she's with me."

"Why did you take her though?"

"I don't want her to go through what I've been through. I want to save her at least. but I'm questioning my decisions now."

"I still have my doubts about what you're saying, honestly."

"I understand that. It's not something you see everyday anyway."

We continue to walk inside the building looking for places to hide or shelter.

We found some chairs and a table. I let Officer Park take a rest first with Lily as I roam the area more.

"I'll be back in a while."

I don't trust Officer Park about me. What I mean is that I know he'll choose to arrest me at any given time, but I know he is gentle towards Lily.

I go out and look for some food. I find a small convenience store after a while and bought us some noodles.

I return back to the building and was worried since I didn't see Officer Park and Lily.

I ran and ran, and I soon found them just a few rooms ahead.

"I saw that there was a higher chance of us getting spotted there. So I moved here. It's also more comfy here with more exit points."

"I see. I was worried. but here, let's eat."

Lily runs to me and drags me to Officer Park's side.

We ate some noodles. I got some hot water in small plastic packs from a vending machine.

We slurped through the minutes and I fed Lily some rice balls.

After we ate, I made a decision.

"Hey you know where that doctor lives right?"

"Yeah, you mean your boyfriend?"

"No he's not my boyfriend. I have no plan on that area. But can you please do me a favor?"

"What favor? Just make sure it's not too risky or hard"

I took a moment before I could say what I wanted him to do.

"Can you drop Lily off there at his appartment? I promise I won't bother you any more after this."

"Hmm, okay. Let's go."

"No. Wait, you don't get it. I'll stay here. Doctor Go's place is secured at least for Lily but not for me."

"Okay, sounds better. And how do you plan on repaying me for my car? It looks a bit questionable now."

"I'll think about that. But get moving now. I need to run away from here."

I grab Lily and tell her to be a good girl at Doctor Go's place. I reassure her that I'll be back soon for her.

"If something happens to her, I will literally hunt you down."

"I'm a police officer. Don't worry."

I then proceed to go out of the building and run into other places. Just so if that guard is still tailing me, he won't see Lily.

I gave Officer Go my number and he called me once he was at the apartment.

He still complained about his car though.

Ji-wan texted me too and asked what was going on. I didn't respond yet, I don't feel like I have too.

I tried to find the necessary transportation to go to the next city or even province.

The more distance I get from Lily and the people I know means more safety for them.

I carefully take some transportaion hoping no one is tailing me.

Long story short I soon ended up in a farm. Why a farm?

I went to the countryside. It's more serene here and less violence. I found someone who needed to take care of their farm. So I signed up

I get payed well and I eat well here too.

It's been nearly a week and I'm having a great time feeding sheep here.

It feels more like a ranch here but they call it a farm so farm it is.

As I was laying down at night one day, I noticed my phone buzzing.

It was Ji wan.

"How are you? Where are you? I've looked for you everywhere."

I was yet silent for a while knowing that I don't want him to find me.

"I'm doing great here. Take care of Lily while I'm gone."

I hang up. I don't know why I did but I felt like it was the right thing to do.

As I was out in the market one day. I notice that there was a police station nearby too. But I'm not scared whatsoever. I trust that Officer Park didn't even believe what I said and probably kept his mouth shut about it.

Yet I want to know how he's doing and about his car too.

I dial his number and call him.

"You're alive?"

He sounded rather shocked.

"I was about to process some papers for you. You're wanted you know."

"Consider me dead."

It was silent after that.

"So you still getting chased?"

"Not as of now. But they might come back soon."

Silence.

"Where are you?"

"At a country side farm. I like it here."

"You still need to get jailed for some stuff you know."

"I would rather die free."

"No one is completely free. But if that's what you want. I'll still arrest you one day."

The call ended.

A month passed and soon I got a visitor.

"What are you doing here?"

My eyes widened as I saw Officer Park in his uniform and a big suitcase. I looked outside and his new car was also parked there.

He was blocking the door so I can't really see much outside.

"I got a new assignment here in this place. It sure is fresh in here."

"Did you choose it or did you do something to get you designated here."

"Nah I was clean. I chose it here. The city feels to cloudy for me."

I then proceed to ask how he found me. He told me it was easy. Nothing more nothing less.

"So you got empty rooms here?"

"Yes but not for rent."

"Rent? You still want to make me rent after you ruined my last car?"

"You're probably rich, go find another house."

"Then you want to get arrested?"

"Do you want to die? I have intentions of killing people yet, but I might soon."

"Still I'm staying here."

He barges in and goes upstairs. I follow him and blabber about why he can't be here.

The night came and I'm eating dinner with him. He tells me I cook nice.

I tell him he should be working but this guy just does not want to leave.

Maybe if I try giving him some attitude he will leave.

I didn't eat much and left the table without a word.

That night I just took it all out on training at the basement only to know he's been watching.

"So you aren't joking."

I nag at him at why he was watching. He told me I was too noisy. I admit I'm used to yelling loud since I live alone here. Well I used to.

I just hope he gets tired of living with me soon and gets out of here. Or if he won't I will.

I still do my usual chores and training though he's there. I just like to imagine he's invisible.

I once ran at 4 am and he was just returning from his shift.

This guy doesn't show up for a week then returns home just for sleep.

Well Maybe I can just adjust to that since It's actually not that bad to bear with.

I also got more space here so I finally started planning out and making things work for me.

I started feeling more in control now that I don't have much stuff going on.

Still there are days I can't stop thinking about Lily. So I call them everyday. Lily says she misses me and hopes to see me soon.

I wish I could hug this this little girl would be in my arms again soon.
