Still at the bottom of the tree, with Lily crying, David feels hopeless and stuck. He wonders how he would plead and beg with the guards to not kill him when they will capture him. He goes on trying to shush the cries of Lily. He looked really desperate. He knows that life inside the facility would be harder than life in the outside world. "Please, please stop crying." He says as quiet as he could while the tears roll down on his cheeks wiping away the stains of the mud he acquired as he rolled down the cliff. After a while of feeling helpless, he soon manages to make Lily sleep. She was once again peaceful, though the towel that was wrapped around her and her clothes were already stained with mud and leaves.
