CHAPTER SIXTY NINE
Shutting her laptop down, Scarlett yawned.
It was almost midnight and she had been making notes from the files her replacement at the Seattle office had emailed her.
She stood up, putting the laptop on the table besides her bed and went inside her closet, changing out of her white sundress and put on a pair of pajamas, dark blue shorts and a worn out black Beatles t-shirt.
After turning the lights off and turning on the small lamp in her room, she settled in her bed, snuggling in her blanket and pulled it up to her chin. With a sigh, she closed her eyes, ready to sleep.
After about half an hour, she opened her eyes, moaning out in annoyance. She turned her head towards the empty space beside her, and smiled.
