“So, you are dating him?” Jared asked, wrinkling his nose.
Scarlett had narrated to him about what had happened during the last eleven years, leaving out some parts, mostly talking about her life after Ethan’s father helped her escape and gave her a job at his company.
“Yes, kind of.” Scarlett smiled. “He is very nice. He takes care of me, handles my tantrums and doesn’t seem to have a problem with my past.”
“Oh.” Jared looked down. “That’s… nice.”
Scarlett shook her head, it seemed Jared was skeptical about Ethan, but it was understandable. After all, what brother would trust a man with his sister whom he had never met, especially a man who had a reputation of being egoistic and high and mighty in the society?
