Jason’s POV:
“Jason?” Eliza all of a sudden mind links me.
“Oh, you remember I exist!” I reply, I can’t keep the sarcasm out of my voice.
“Okay, I deserved that. I’m sorry!” I could hear the regret in her voice.
“Yeah, never mind. Enjoy your evening. Tomorrow I have an appointment to prepare for, so I’m going to bed.” I didn’t mean to be rude, but I couldn’t get the phone conversation with Jess out of my head.
Apparently she has a daughter, and it made me sad. She had moved on with her life years ago. I had spent my thoughts all afternoon on what our life might have been like together. The friendship between Anna and Eliza had not broken.
