Eliza’s POV:
Miles successfully persuades Jess to talk to Jason and his father. Throughout their conversation, she held the wolfsbane syringes tightly in her hands. Alexia and I are enjoying ourselves in the kitchen while that is happening. We made bread dough, and during its rise, we made cupcakes. Once the cupcakes are finished, it’s time to bake the bread. We decorated the cupcakes with a unicorn theme. With colors such as blue, purple and pink and a touch of ‘silver’ and white here and there. Although Alexia was tempted to eat one immediately, I insisted she eat a sandwich first.
The oven-fresh bread was ready in time for lunch. They praised Alexia for the bread we made, and everyone enjoyed it. All that positive attention did wonders for Alexia, but her uneasiness showed
