Just as she started to head back, something clattered in her handbag, the beads of the rosary dashed here and there. She suddenly made a decision to go into one of the toilet stalls and grabbed what was left of the rosary. One by one, she threw the beads into the toilet bowl, tossing the cross in at the end. After flushing the toilet, she watched as the whirlpool sucked the elements into the abyss. But they didn’t want to go down. “Die in hell, damn it!” she muttered, rolling down some toilet paper and dropping it on top of the beads, flushing it down again.
