“Josh, are you ready for a short talk?”
The boy only glanced at Keith for a moment then turned back to the window again. He looked uninterested, but he finally nodded.
“All right. Great. Have you heard of hypnosis?”
Josh thought about this. “Yes, the magicians do that. They hypnotize the crowd sometimes, and then the people start acting weird. They do anything that the magician wants. They’ll even act like animals.”
“Yes, of course, that is one form of hypnosis.”
“Will you turn me into an animal too?” Josh asked seriously.
“No, of course not!” Keith laughed. He realized how smart Josh was. He had a sharp mind, and he was very logical for someone so young. But Keith also felt that Josh really had some psychical defence abilities, which meant that he might not be able to hypnotize him.
