The next morning, Jasper, who Kento had said last night would be here to walk me to class, was nowhere outside my dorm room. Plus, I hadn't found the small magical book where I'd gotten the binding spell I used with me and Megan. Also, I'd missed a ton of school already and I couldn't wait for him.
My phone dinged with a message and I clicked on the icon. Rounding the corner, I crashed into someone.
"Ow!" I rubbed my stinging forehead, then bent down to pick up my phone I had dropped.
"Better not text and walk at the same time again," a male voice said.

"Hey, I wasn't the one not watching where I was going." Professor Daniels held up his hands. "You ran into me."
