ChapterTwo

1756 Words
Sinclair is sitting in his office looking over the new reports that his beta Zion has just handed him. The past five years have been complete and utter c*****e for the white moon pack. First, his wolf went dormant for a year after Khaleesi left, then his father was attacked by a rogue wolf that left him losing his left arm and therefore giving Sinclair the title of Alpha of the White Moon pack. Since he took over, things have not been easy. Clara is spending money they don't have, leaving them close to financial ruin, and as for her Luna's duties, well, she doesn't do them. Instead, she has got the Omega wolves doing them for her. To say that Sinclair has seen a different side to her would be an understatement, and it isn't a good side. He always thought she would be his strength and produce the next heir to the pack, but Clara was not interested in any of it. She wants a life of power and wealth, and she will make sure she has it, no matter what the cost. Then there is the fact that Gamma Ashton and her do not get on at all. He is often talking and wondering about what happened to Khaleesi, his true Luna, much to the annoyance of Sinclair and Zion. No one has heard a peep out of her since the day she left, Sinclair, knowing deep down that they would never see her again. A thought that fills him with dread. "Sin, we have called a meeting with the other Alphas. The only pack that hasn't been attacked is the Blood Moon pack, even though it is in the surrounding borders. The word is that the rogues are terrified of the new Alpha." Sin looks at his brother confused. The Blood Moon pack has always been run by the psychotic Damien. The guy had an aura of darkness around him and a thirst for blood like no one had ever seen before. "What happened to Alpha Damien?" "He stepped down, he found an heir, and he is just as bloodthirsty and psychotic as Damien is. Also, a financial genius. He has created a cybersecurity business that has tripled in profits over the years, both in our world and the human world." He hands his brother the figures and Sin's eyes practically pop out of their sockets. Hybrid Cyber Inc. is making billions and the reviews are all amazing. A far cry from the state his business is in. "Is Blood Moon coming to the meeting?" Zion nods and Sin leans back in his chair as he runs his fingers across his jawline. Maybe this new Alpha can give them some pointers. Unlike his father, Sin was not afraid to evolve the pack into the twenty-first century. To be able to protect the pack, he needs to get caught up with the latest gadgets and weapons in their world, otherwise, they will all be gone. "Have the other pack started to arrive?" Zion nods and Sin stands up. Right now they need to make a plan on how to get the rogues under control. This is something that needs sorting out before things get worse. Like the packs fall into the hands of the rogues. As he walks out of his office into the marbled hallway, he can't help but look at how lavish the pack house is looking, Clara insisting it needed to be done as other packs would expect it, as they are the second-wealthiest pack there is. The truth is, Sin doesn't like the decor, it is too flashy and too over the top like something you would see on one of those Hollywood reality shows. As he walks into the newly decorated pack dining hall, he notices that the same decor is in there too. He hadn't been keeping tabs on her spending more than he thought. Speaking of Clara, she is currently smiling at the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack, the forty-year-old Alpha who had everyone practically foaming at the mouth with his dashingly good looks and devilish charm. Alpha Jacobs was a well-known playboy whose mate was just as adventurous with lovers as he was. The two were known for having extramarital affairs that weren't so secretive. How their wolves are okay with it is something Sinclair doesn't understand, as his wolf practically claws at him any time he is remotely intimate with Clara, which is a rarity these days. Sinclair stops beside her, her long blonde hair that once captivated him now doing nothing for him. Sinclair had become aware that the love and lust he once felt for her had completely vanished in the past five years, and he now yearned for the mate that he had lost. "Alpha Sinclair, it is good to see you." Alpha Jacob holds out his hand and Sinclair takes it, giving it a firm shake. "Alpha Jacob, it is good to see you here" "You are kidding, most of us are in the same boat as you. The only pack not affected is the blood moon pack." "Did you know they had a new Alpha?" Jacob chuckles and nods his head at Sinclair, Clara looking at the two confused. "What happened to Alpha Damien?" Clara had a crush on Damien, the only man to ever turn her down no matter how hard she had tried to get him as hers. Eventually, she settled for the second-best pack and Alpha. "Nothing," he stepped down. The new Alpha is worse than him and the best thing is she is the first female Alpha. She belonged to another pack but left because they treated her like garbage. What idiots turn down the first-ever female Alpha?" Jacob and his wife. Lenora chuckles before a silence falls over the room. The other packs that are scattered about are all looking at the door to the hall. Sinclair turns to see the blood-moon pack walk in. Damien is in the middle with the Beta Harley and the Gamma Luca. The three walk towards Sinclair, who is looking at him confused. "Alpha Damien." "You seem shocked to see me, Alpha Sinclair?" "I was informed that you were no longer the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack?" Damien smirks, as do Luca and Harley. "I am not, but I am the new Alphas Beta along with Harley. She is dealing with a stray" The sound of heels clicking on the floor has them turning and Damien and the boys chuckling darkly when they see their Alpha walking in dragging the bloodied body of the rogue that was trying to sneak into the grounds behind her. She stops by them and drops the body by Sinclairs' feet before looking at him with her baby-blue eyes. "Alpha Sinclair, you should train your warriors to protect the ground before calling for a meeting." "Khaleesi" It comes out in a whisper, Sinclair looking at her in shock. His mate is now the most feared Alpha? How can that be possible? "That is Alpha Khaleesi to you. Now let's get this s**t over with before I die of boredom." Clara scoffs and looks her up and down with disgust. She gets closer to Khaleesi, a sinister smirk on her face. "You are nothing but a human..." Before she can finish her sentence she gasps for breath, the air being knocked out of her instantly. Khaleesi's fist is in her back as she has her hand wrapped around her spine. Clara didn't know how or when she moved behind her or how she was strong enough to punch a hole through someone. "Watch how you talk to me, Omega. I will snap your spine quicker than you can blink. All you are is a glorified s*x doll. Don't think you are any better than me because we both know you are nothing but a gold digger." Khaleesi pulls her hand out and drops Clara on her knees. She looks at Damien, who is smiling like an i***t as he hands her a black cloth. She wipes her hands, removing the blood that is encased on them. She then tosses it at Clara, not caring whether she is okay. Wolves heel, so it is not her place to play nice. She steps over Clara and turns to Sinclair, her eyes devoid of any emotions, Atlas going crazy inside him just wanting to be near his mate. "Shall we proceed?" "Umm yes sure. Clara, go and clean yourself up". Sinclair steps over her, as does Zion and a smirking Ash. He would be lying through his teeth if he said he didn't enjoy seeing Clara get her comeuppance. It had been a long time coming, and he was just glad he got to witness it. The fact it was Khaleesi who did it is the icing on the cake. Sinclair and the other pack, Alphas, sit down with their Beta next to them, the Gammas all standing behind them. Zion looks at Khaleesi and smiles. "It is good to see you again, Alpha Khaleesi". Khaleesi turns her head to face him, a look of pure confusion on her face. "Beta Zion, are we going to pretend that we knew each other well enough to be friendly? The last time I checked you, along with that brother sitting next to you, quite enjoyed inflicting unnecessary punishment on me when you thought I was nothing but a mere human. So please treat me just the same now as you did back then, so I have the perfect excuse to tear you apart limb by limb. I always wanted to watch you bleed out at my feet." Zion looks at her unsure whether she is joking, the look of terror on the other Alpha's faces telling him that maybe it is safe to say she is one hundred percent serious. Something he doesn't want to find out. "Let's focus on the task at hand, Alpha Sinclair. What is the meaning of this meeting?" Damien's death glares Zion as he speaks, he has seen the marks on Khaleesi and never knew exactly which one of the assholes at the White Moon pack inflicted them on her. Now that he knew it was Zion and Sinclair, it took all his strength to not snap the guy's neck instantly. If there is one thing they will soon learn, it is that Damien is fiercely loyal to Khaleesi, as are Luca and Harley. Just as she is loyal to her pack.
