This is the worst day of my life.
The words barely left my mouth before my chest caved in on itself and the tears came rushing out. I ran into my room, slammed the door behind me, and threw myself onto the bed face down. The soft mattress did nothing to comfort me. If anything, it made it easier to sink into misery, to let it swallow me whole.
