TABBY HATED HOW STIFF her body was as she, Jamie and the others entered the building that had become some sort of joint task force and FBI operational headquarters. Details had been few and far between yesterday after she'd woken up from a few hours of sleep. She should have pushed or asked or something. Instead, she'd curled up in bed with Jamie and they'd done nothing. Not even much talking. She just couldn't bear to have her dream snuffed out quite yet, so she'd take solace in silence and Jamie's presence.
After everything that had happened the last week, she'd needed that quiet bubble. Probably because she knew today was coming, and it would suck.
