After changing and dressing, Steward led me to another room not far from the one he had just mentioned. The door opened, and inside were a sofa, a table, and bookshelves. However, it seemed like a reception room, as it seemed rarely used, and Eli wasn't there either. There was another door on the side of the room, which Steward opened and invited me in.
Inside, Eli was standing in front of me. By the window, a cup of tea in his hand, Eli seemed lost in thought, staring out the window, the curtains slightly open, allowing sunlight to reach him but not the rest of the room.
As I entered, Eli turned and looked at me, still standing in the doorway. I saw him standing still, staring at me. I opened my mouth to speak, but Steward spoke first, excusing himself. "Master, I'll be waiting outside. If you need anything, please call me."
Eli simply nodded slowly, and Steward excused himself, closing the door behind him. After Steward left and closed the door, I walked over to Eli's desk, which was clean and free of any papers or books, as if it had never been used. I looked at Eli in front of me and said jokingly, "How do I look? Aren't I very handsome?"
I looked at Eli, who remained silent after hearing my joke. An awkward feeling arose, making me fake a cough to ease the awkwardness. I turned my head and accidentally spotted a photo frame in the corner of the room. I immediately commented on it, "Oh, is that your family? I didn't know vampires had families. Are you married too?"
Eli walked over to the photo and picked it up. "They're all vampires, so you should be careful when you meet them, and you'll meet them today."
"Huh?" I accepted the photo Eli handed me and stared at the people in it.
"I'm going to introduce you as my partner, and we're going to pretend we're a couple who like each other, especially you. You have to show that you can't live without me. Being partners because you like each other is better than being a food source tied to me, right?" Eli said, taking the photo back from my hand and bringing his face closer to mine, as if teasing me.
"Oh s**t, who wants to be your partner or whatever! And I'm not your food. You'll see, you'll be the one needing me, not me," I said, stepping back and sitting on the sofa.
"Hmm, that's fine. You can act like this in front of my family later; it'll be really interesting." Eli followed me and sat next to me.
I shifted my body to move away from Eli, but Eli stopped me by pulling me in place by the waist. Eli moved closer to me until our faces were less than 5 cm apart, and his husky voice sounded incredibly sexy. "Before you meet them, we should practice first and leave our scents on each other so they don't get suspicious."
I was shocked and immediately tried to pull away from Eli. "What do you mean?! Let me go!"
Before I could pull away, Eli captured my lips with his thin ones. Our lips touched, and the strange feeling of Eli's scent wafting into my nose further explained the strange feeling I was feeling inside me. What started out as a mere pressing of lips turned into a heated kiss as I tried to catch my breath and unconsciously opened my mouth. Eli's soft tongue entered my mouth and tried to invade every inch of it. I, dumbfounded, could only pat Eli's arm, begging him to break the kiss, which was getting longer and longer, making it increasingly difficult for me to breathe.
My breaths were ragged, making me try to open my mouth for air, but that opportunity seemed to give Eli permission to invade my increasingly open mouth. Unable to bear the increasingly heated kiss, I bit Eli's tongue, which was toying with my tongue. The fishy smell of blood emanating from the sharp bite marks on his soft tongue filled my mouth, and with my eyes slightly closed, I stared at his shocked face.
Eli quickly broke the kiss and cupped my cheeks tightly, forcing my mouth open. Some of the remaining blood, mixed with my saliva, was swallowed, but some flowed out of my mouth because he was holding my mouth shut with his finger. Eli stared at me intently, his eyebrows furrowed, and his gaze seemed to be mixed with a look of confusion that was hard to describe.
"How dare you bite my tongue? Oh, you don't know you shouldn't swallow my blood. I won't help you after this," Eli said, removing his finger from my mouth and then removing his hand from my face.
Eli stood straight in front of me and looked me up and down. I was still confused by what Eli had said, but the strange, burning feeling inside me grew hotter and hotter, like a fire being tossed with dry wood, making it flare even more fiercely. The burning feeling spread all the way to my lower body, and I felt like I couldn't hold it in. I wanted something to relieve me of this torment. I could only stare at Eli silently, as if begging for his help.
Eli stared at me for a long moment, as if assessing and contemplating something. I tried to grab his hand, as if to get him to stop thinking and help me, but before I could reach it, Eli stepped back and turned his back to me.
"There are no women here. If you're willing and able to sleep with a man, I'll call someone to help you," Eli said coldly before leaving the room.
I could only watch him leave as I held myself back and processed what Eli had just said. Just moments after Eli left the room, Steward entered not with his usual friendly face, but a look of worry on his face as he looked at me. Steward approached me and he helped me up, "Mr. Orion, I'll take you to your bedroom. Do you need someone to serve you? Or do you need cold water for a shower?"
