Chapter 10

"Brother, you've arrived," the person greeted.

Contrary to my expectations, the brother who had called is his second brother that didn't appear older, or at least the same age as Eli. Instead, he looked younger, with the face and body of a boy in his teens, maybe 14 or 15. I glanced at Eli and nudged him because he remained silent and didn't respond to his brother's greeting.

Eli glanced at me, then turned to his brother and said casually, "Azazel, why do you look like that?"

"Hahaha, some things happened that made me have to conserve my energy, and this is how I look now. You look amazing, Eli. Sit down, both of you," he said, sitting down in a chair.

"Sit down, Orion," Eli said to me gently.

"First of all, welcome to my brother's's lover. I heard your name is Orion, right? How old are you now, Orion? Sorry, vampires can't be judged by their physical appearance, so I wasn't sure how old you were. You look quite young for a human being." I was a little confused by Eli's brother, Azazel, so I didn't answer and glanced at Eli.

"He's 25 years old, Azazel. Orion, this is Azazel, my second brother. He rarely interacts with humans, so he's not very used to communicating with others. Please understand," Eli said to Azazel before turning to me and speaking to me.

"Oh, yes. Hmm, I'm Orion Conall. Nice to meet you, hm, Mr. Azazel?" I asked Azazel, confused.

"Hahaha, don't call me mister, just call me Azazel. So, Orion, you already knows that Eli isn't human, and um, well, that's it. Since you're still young, you two can spend about 75 years together," Azazel replied with a smile.

I didn't understand why he said that, but I could only smile and nod. Eli glanced at me and said, "Humans these days only live to be 70-80 years old on average. So, we might only be together for 50 years, if we're lucky. That's why I came here to meet you."

"Ah, humans are more vulnerable and weak now, huh? Are you here to ask for that flower?" Azazel asked Eli.

"Yes, because he's not only my lover but also the only person I can receive blood from right now, so I want to be with him as long as possible. He doesn't feel well every time I drink his blood, so I'm worried about his health. And as my lover, I feel he should get to know my siblings, especially you," Eli said seriously, though I couldn't quite understand what they were saying.

"Okay, but give me some time to get it for you. My strength is weakening, so it will be difficult for me to go there and get the flower for you. Can you wait until at least half my strength is back?" Azazel replied, pouring tea into teacups and handing them to both of us.

"It's okay, there's no need to rush. But, Azazel, what exactly happened to you that made you like this?" Eli asked, showing concern.

"Hmm, wait for Julian to come. Let him tell you, I don't have the energy to tell you anymore," said Azazel, sipping his tea and standing up.

"Julian's here, I'll be going now. It's nice to meet you, Orion. You two are good matches and take care of each other. I may not be able to help you with many things, but if you need protection, just come here. My door is always open for you." Azazel walked away, leaving Eli and me alone.

I felt confused because I thought we were here to talk to Azazel, but I didn't expect our conversation to be this brief. I turned to Eli and was about to ask, but he had already opened his mouth. "I don't know why Azazel is like this. It's been decades since I last came here and spoke to him in person, and even then, I didn't have the chance to talk to him a lot."

"Aren't you guys close?" I asked, hearing Eli's words.

"Honestly, I can say that besides Cecilia, he's the closest sibling to me. When I first arrived, Azazel was the one who took care of me. He taught me how to obtain blood, how to fight, and many other things. You could say the foundation of my current knowledge all comes from Azazel and my father. So, how can we not be close? But, over the past few hundred years, we've rarely seen each other or communicated. We only contact each other when we need something, but he's still my most trusted sibling," Eli said, pausing and gazing out at the garden visible from the balcony.

"..." I was about to open my mouth when I saw something suddenly fly towards us.

"Hey, big brother. How are you?" said a man standing in front of us.

"Julian, can't you come over normally?" Eli said, answering the greeting from the man he called Julian.

"Oh, okay. Next time then. For now introduce me to the human next to you first, brother," the man replied, then looked at me.

"This is Orion, my lover, and Orion, this is Julian, my little brother," Eli said, introducing us both.

"Oh, nice to meet you, brother-in-law. Now, brother Eli is no longer single and chasing after brother Azazel. I'm so relieved," Julian said, making me glance at Eli.

"Watch your words, you're the only one here who have thinking dirty things to your own brother," Eli shook his head.

"Haha, in the end, we're not really brothers," Julian said, giving Eli a strange look.

This brother of Eli's looked young, but he seemed to be about my age or even younger. He spoke with a youthful air, but something crossed my mind, Julian had something going on with his own brother, none other than Azazel, who was here a while ago and left when he noticed Julian's arrival.

"Enough small talk, tell me what happened to Azazel that made him change like this?" Eli asked, sitting back down in his chair.

"It's simple. We slept together and I accidentally drained his energy, and this all happened. I was too excited and couldn't control my own powers. But don't worry, it won't happen again. I've learned from my mistakes, I won't do it again. I won't be able to sleep with him because his body is like a child. It's very strange sleeping with a child, isn't it? If I were a human, I'd definitely call myself a pedophile, hehe," Julian replied, making me immediately feel awkward and strange receiving this overly personal information.

"Cut the crap! It's disgusting to hear my two brothers sleeping together like this. Ah, since you're here, I might as well ask you to help me with something." Eli looked at Julian, who was sitting where Azazel had been, drinking the rest of the tea Azazel had left behind.

"What can I do for you?" Julian asked, setting the teacup back on the table.
