Ivan is only nasty to Erica because he has a crush on her and will never admit it. However, they are graduating one of these days. They are going to have a dance at the school for the graduates. Ivan's date, which should have gone with him, has been canceled at the last minute, and he does not know what to do. He goes to his best friend, Eric. He tells him that one of the cheerleaders has decided to go with another guy instead of him because they see him as being rude. He is an attractive, tall boy. He and Eric are the same height and the same build. Since he comes from a different culture than most of the children in the school, they do not always understand him.
