Pretending

"Are you done?" I asked.

I lower my voice so that the librarian would throw us think books. It was nightmare, huh.

"Uh yes. I'm sorry Miji but i have to leave. My mom is texting me now." Dongpyo whispered.

"It's okay. Take care."

"You too."

It's already dark outside. I decided that i'll just finish this at home. I put back my notebooks on my bag and i put back the books i've borrowed.

I bid the goodbye at the librarian ang i left.

My heart beats fo fast when my necklace wasn't on my chest. This can't be! Someone brought that to me when i was a kid. I promised that i will treasure it.

I came back to the classroom and i looked every side of it. But it wasn't there.

"Where did i dropped it?!" I whispered.

Maybe i left it at Soyeon's room! I have to go there. I closed the door and i got startled when the guard suddenly showed up.

"Why are you still here? School is already ended."

"I'm sorry ahjussi, but my necklace is missing."

"Have you already found it?"

"No. Maybe i just left it at the X1 mansion. I'll go ahead, ahjussi."

I left him there, hes creeping me out. I walked at the dark corridor. My phone just shut down, so so in a good timing.

When i got there, i quickly pinned the pincode and enter inside. I dashed to Lori's room. I looked for it and i found it near the pink boxes.

"Thank God i got it." I whispered.

I was about to go out when i heard, people shouting at the living room.

"You killed her!"

I'm sure Junho owns that voice...

"I didn't killed her, Seungwoo killed her."

"Stop blaiming Seungwoo hyung! He's innocent!"

Seungwoo is innocent? Really?

"Stop blaiming him! You killed her, you r***d her!"

"I didn't. Seungwoo killed him."

I pecked outside, and the red haired guy already left. He even slam the door. That's probably Eunsang.

I saw Junho's about leaving. He got startled too when he saw me. "Miji? Why are you here?"

"I left my necklace on that room." I answered, pretending i didn't heard anything. "How about you? Why are you still here?"

"I felt asleep at the sofa. It's already dark, i didn't notice."

"Ahh, i didn't notice you earlier because i dashed to the room."

We leave the mansion and we walk outside the gate. Junho lied, i know he's not in the mansion earlier. What a great pretender.

"Miji, can i walk you home?" He asked.

"Yes."

It's already night, good thing Junho asked me to walk home. I'm kinda afraid of dark.

We quietly walked in the dark side walk. I secretly looked at his expression. He's just calm like nothing happend earlier.

"Don't stare at me like that, Miji. I might melt." He jokingly said.

"I'm staring at your scar, on your cheeks."

"Really? Oh s**t!"

I took a band-aid on my bag. Since he's damn tall, i askes him to kneeled a little.

"Stay still, Junho." I said. "Okay, it's done."

"Thanks, Miji." He smiled.

"Welcome." I answered and we continue walking home. "By the way, what happend? Why do you have a scar?"

"I don't know..."

It's already 7:28 pm when i reached my home. "Thanks for walking me home, Junho."

"You're welcome, Miji. I'll go ahead." He smiled and left.

I opened the gate and the main door. As i step my foot inside, Mom bombed me with questions.

"Miji! Where have you been?" Dad asked.

"Sorry Dad. I lost my necklace and i still find it. I'm sorry, Mom and Dad."

"It's okay Miji. I'm not angry. The important is, you found your necklace. We're just worried, okay?"

"Thank you!"

"Always welcome, Miji."

I go inside my room. I sat on my bed and i stared at the pendant of the necklace.

Ethiopian black opal. At this state, this is a rare stone. It costs almost billions for this single rock. But i wouldn't sell this, like i am already rich also this is so so important to me. The only remembrance of this someone i met years ago.

I opened my twitter and i scroll to my news feed. As i refesh, i saw Eunsang's tweet.
