Final Trial:having a second encounter

the scene in front of him changed as he was back in a familiar area,it was the place he had first met Ling,"huh how,how am I here",stammered Zhou,“Zhou!a sweet and melodious voice called out,as he turned around shivering a little,"Ling",said Zhou as he looked at her in amazement,what are you doing here,the Ling in front of him was much more matured as she had grown a little,his eye's were on the brink of tears as he hugged her holding her tight and hopeing it wasn't a dream,"I missed you,I have a lot to tell!fuuuuu Zhou felt a knife approaching from the side,as his mind was shaken,but he soon calmed down and let the knife stab him.with a smile Zhou looked at the illusionary Ling in front of him,why did you do nothing",asked Ling" i'll be happy just as long as I get to be in her embrace one last time",seeing the confident smile on his face,the Ling in front of him sighed as she faded from view,so did the surrounding scenery,and he was back at the center of the pagoda,a white kind of smokey figure appeared above him as it materialized into a being that could not be described,since it barely had a form, infact it could even just be said to be a Puff of smoke trying to take a human form,challage completed,you may now ascend to the top of the pagodas tower to receive your reward and responsibility,"but weren't the challenges suppose to be seven why am I receiving a reward now"blurted Zhou with a confused face,the smoke or better still the figure in the air paused as he continued,yes but you've passed the sixth test too perfectly,and the next trial won't be of any use any more,besides your honesty amuses me as you haven't ran straight for the reward,here,have this storage ring I think you'll need it,oh,and the tower would only accept those with good intentions into it,"so that's how it is said Zhou as he asked another question what will happen if you were not pure of heart then",well you will be incinerated and death would have been your fate,gulp!,Zhou swallowed his saliva as he imagined what would have happened if he was the bad guy,"now for the reward,a low voice woke him up from his dazed state as he quickly climbed up the stairs.besides your next responsibility will serve as your next test,said the smoke like figure as it disappeared,huh,Zhou tured around only to find air,leaving him quite confused.putting away the thoughts in his mind,Zhou continued to climb after a few dozen hours or so until he got to the top where he stopped in front of a hall with a big door at the very end,what Zhou saw first was seven stone platforms as he walked towards them,each one containg an item he had never seen except for one,which was the sword he had just used during the tests,it was currently covered in a glassy kind of black color as it no longer gave off it's red glow or hue,Zhou didn't hesitate as he picked the sword first,since he felt a kind of intimacy towards it,he then put it away in his storage ring,satisfied with the large amount of space in it,enough to fit an excavation site,he now had the time to look towards the next stone platforms as he walked towards them,the second platform consisted of a bottle filled with some kind of moving liquid labelled dragon bone marrow,it continued to wiggle and skimmer as if it was alive,Zhou thought it was good as he put it away as well,the next platform contained three different kind of octagonal seals with different colors and patterns,one of them was green representing life force,one was yellow representing earth,one was red representing fire and one was blue representing the element of water.Zhou reached forward attempting to take them,as if sensing his approach,the 4 seals floated into the air,revolving around each other in a pattern as they quickly shot straight into the space between his brows,reaching his sea of consciousness,Zhou was startled at first but since it caused him no amount of pain,he just tried to forget about it as he focused on the next four platforms.the next platform contained three scrolls,the first scroll was all about formations and how to make them,Zhou knew about formations and their basic functions since he had seen how much a formation helped in defending the cities territory during the war,their was even a rumor that if wanted by the creator,a formation could destroy a cultivator instantly as long as you touch their boarders,this was terrifying but not much practiced since it was extremely hard to comprehend and the amount of damage it could cause was dependent on the amount of power the opponent had,the second scroll was all about forgery,it was also useful since formation masters had to use already forged formation flags to build their formations,a formation master could make formation flags with his or her own energy but they had to achieve a certain realm before doing so,the last scroll contained all kinds of information about pill making,Zhou was delighted as he knew the importance of cultivation pills,as one needed to have a suitable type of pill before charging towards a higher realm in cultivation after advancing to the primordial king realm,a look of joy appeared on his face as he took the scrolls.

putting the scrolls away and looking away,Zhou focused his attention on another stone platform containing a small kind of rock which was pitch black in color and had a very smooth surface.the rock was actually a kind of vassal as it contained a special kind of substance called void marrow which when consumed will give one the power to teleport through space and time but the deal with this rock was that it was very rare as it could only be made from the eternal blue flame of Immortality,the reason this kind of flame was given this name was that there was only one of such in the world and the flame never died out,it even had the ability to extend the life span of a human by 3000 years.fuuuuup,in one swoop Zhou had put away the rock,the next stone platform consisted of a full set of golden and black colored amour,it stood their pulsing with great energy,it was too big and Zhou had no use for it so he was not going to take it,but it was too late the amour had already zipped through the air as it cling on his body,rapidly shrinking to his size,and then disappearing into the inner most part of his body,he only reveled a bitter smile as he had gotten used to this kind of unexpected things happening over and over again,the next platform was peculiar as it was divided into three sections with three golden leaves on each end which was as thick as a small pencil“,what the hel!,wait I won't be needing to say those words any more",thought Zhou as he reached foward picking one of the leaves into his hands,it was so light that he would have thought there was nothing on his hands if not for him being able to see it in his hands,he then picked the second leaf but their was no reaction and it felt the same,he then went ahead to pick the last leaf but it had the same reaction,"nothing".
