Tom Lark clearly didn’t want to discuss the topic any further, and his impression of Ethan Cole had already been tarnished. The lunch atmosphere instantly chilled to an icy point. Tom cleared his throat and told Chloe Glaire he had some matters to attend to, preparing to leave.
David sneered quietly on the side. Kale, who had been observing the situation from nearby, noticed Lark’s intention to leave and hurried over.
“President Lark, I just spoke with the front desk. There’s a suite that just became available, with a view of Los Angeles. If you don’t mind, I can arrange for you to switch rooms immediately.”
Kale didn’t forget to curry favor with Lark. The older executive nodded. “Please take care of it, Manager Kale.” He walked alongside Kale, leaving Ethan Cole out of the loop.
