I shivered in fear.
This. This can't be happening!

"No, no, NO!" I growled. "NO!"
"Kate, are you okay?" My mother asked, concerned. She wasn't used to my outburst, and it was out of character for me to behave like this among guests and at the dinner table.
"No!" I said, feeling a cold shiver run down my spine. "Please tell me..."
