CHAPTER 4

Leo remembered he left her in the hospital and he instructed the doctor to make sure she didn’t leave till he was back. He quickly took his car keys and drove to the hospital where he left her and walked to her ward. On reaching, he heard one of the nurses.

“you slut, you think he will buy your cheap lie”

“How dare you speak to her in such a manner, now kneel before her and apologize, “ he said to the nurse surprising both the girl and himself.

The nurse knelt before Emma and apologized, initially, she made the apology grudgingly at the instruction of Leo she repeated the apology better to Leo’s satisfaction. Then he sent for the Doctor and told him to sack the nurse in question because she bullied a patient and all through the whole escape the girl was staring at him maybe wondering who he was to have pulled such strings.

“I need you to discharge her immediately, I need to take her home,” he said like he knew who he was talking about or they were a couple so his home was automatically hers.

“I’m not going anywhere with this stranger” she finally spoke out. Her voice was amazing, it felt like that of an angel and he couldn’t help but stare at her but then he needed to let her know he was in control.

“That was an order and not a request, “ he said to her hearing and that of the Doctor.

Since he knew she would give him a hard time he walked to her bed and carried her in Bridal out of the hospital while she kept screaming and kicking but no one dared come to her aid because it was Leo Clarke.

He opened the back of the car and locked it back then moved in front to drive off but when he sat it was uncomfortable so he brought her in front so she could sit by his side.

All through the drive home she was quiet and she didn’t say a word but from the expression on her face, it was obvious she had so much to say. He took her to his house where he was, earlier that day.

Emma kept wondering why a human being would be this fine, he looked so handsome that she couldn’t help herself but stare lustfully at him. The shirt he wore hugged his chest and the broad art just revealed itself bare. She envied the shirt for being in such a close proxy city with this demigod. She could now see and understand why the nurses disliked her cause who wouldn’t after their idol was seen carrying a random girl who could have faked things up? His eyes were so green she felt compelled to kiss them. Another mystery about him was that he had authority and a kind of power that scarce her She realized herself that she was on the verge of losing her opportunity if she hadn’t lost it already and here she was thinking about how fine a man is. She hated how she had this sort of thought about him when he had done nothing but ruin her day and maybe her life and that of her family, he didn’t deserve her compliment.

“Molly was found in my car after dropping you off,” he said out of nowhere and the question made her freeze, she didn’t expect such a question from him.

“I… I… don’t know..”

“It is better if you don’t lie because I will deal with you against my wish.” She knew he would carry out his threat, he wasn’t joking about it.

“the truth is that I wanted to try Molly for the first time if I lost the job. Since it was in my bag I think it fell off when I was unconscious, I am sorry I risked your reputation because of my silly attitude. “ she lied.

He felt a little bit bad that he had thought she worked for Arnold, if anything was the case they both ruined each other’s day he would have to make it up to her.

“I saw your CV, you’ve got the job as my PA and secretary, “ he said like he didn’t just break a piece of important news to her.

“Thanks for the job opportunity, “ she said dryly.

“Can I start today?

“No, you’ll start tomorrow. She tried insisting but he told her with authority that she start work the next day.”

“You will work as my PA and in the office as my secretary from tomorrow “ he announced then he watched her so he could detect her expression, but her face was expressionless so he got more curious about her.

Leo couldn’t get why he needed Emma around himself. She was the first woman he brought to his home it felt strange yet he didn’t regret it. She is very beautiful with beautiful blue eyes and a model figure. At that point where he was reminiscing over her beauty, he felt that feeling of protectiveness he felt in the hospital when he heard the nurses bully her, he had only felt this for Daisy but this one felt real and dangerous.

Alas, she didn’t lose her job, she got it from the same person that took it from her. She couldn’t believe it was the CEO of Clarke’s Fashion Allure, she was glad she got the job and she couldn’t wait to share the goodness with her foster family. She quickly remembered she wasn’t with her phone and she needed it to make some calls.

“Could you find my phone”

“I guess it Will be in the car and the car is in my personal villa, I don’t think you can get it now, I will get another phone for you”

“I like my other phone, I’ll just wait till you get it when you go to your villa.” She said

It wasn’t an offer miss, it was an order, you will get a phone and that is final.

In as much as she hated how authoritative he was she liked him and liked the fact that he was in control, he could not be messed with. Meanwhile, she needs to learn to put up with his attitude because she will be working for him and she has to put on her best attitude

“Get your stuff ready you’ll be living here, henceforth!” he commanded.
