It can’t be

Lina stood froze with a perplexed look on her face. That can’t be.. there’s no way. She heard the voice again that said “look fairy princess I am willing to sign a treaty to end the war but you have to agree that I will be the Alpha for both your people and mine”. The queen responded “excuse me it is QUEEN Laya to you, you animal”.Lina repeated in a soft voice Alpha? She headed down the hall to where the conversation was coming from making sure she moved slowly as to not alert anyone she was trying to eavesdrop. She stuck her head around the corner in time to see the fairy queen throw her phone against the wall. Lina was caught off guard by this and jumped a little but thankfully no one noticed her. The queen continued yelling to herself “who does he think he is? He’s just a dumb mutt and has no right to speak to me like that ,he has no right to speak to me at all. The audacity of the flea bag to give me an ultimatum. I rather loose a million more fairies than bow down to him. With that the queen let out a sigh and started to walk out of the room. Lina ran back to the kitchen hoping no one had noticed, but no one ever noticed her so she wasn’t too worried. Back in the kitchen Lina tried to process the conversation she just overheard. She had so many questions. Was that Alpha the man she was dreaming about? But how could that be possible? She was lost in thought when she heard laughter coming her way. She recognized the laugh right away and started to smile as a handsome fairy walked in the kitchen. Stanley! Lina greeted him I’m happy you’re here! Stanley has been her best friend since they were babies, and one of the few who accepted her as she is without powers and all. Peter greeted Lina with a big bear hug almost suffocating her. Lina demanded him put her down. Stanley just laughed and ruffled Lina’s hair because he knew how much she hated it. Lina was about to say something when someone called Stanley away. Stanley just shot her a look of acknowledgement like saying I’ll talk to you later as he walked out of the kitchen. Lina thought to herself what would Stanley be doing in the castle if he was supposed to be on patrol as he is a guardian. All of a sudden Lina remembered she still had to make breakfast. With a sigh she got to work on the waffles and eggs she was to prepare. Lina stood there admiring her handy work. She may not have powers like everyone else, but she sure does know how to cook. Adelina! The queen shouted. What took you so long to finish breakfast? Aside from the fact you have no powers you seem to be useless for simple tasks as well she said while shooting Lina a look of disgust. Lina apologized and made her way back to the kitchen. She really didn’t like the queen but the king was a different story. The king was a gentle being who always put his people before himself, which was why he was hardly at the castle because he spent all his time training and accompanying the guardians on patrol and missions. Lina just couldn’t figure out what the king saw in that woman, that really made no sense to her. I suppose love really makes no sense sometimes Lina sighed as she gathered her things to leave. Lina walked through the door to her home noticing that noises were coming from the kitchen like things being damaged through. Lina felt the hair on her skin stand straight up. She grabbed an umbrella from by the door and raised it above her head to attack anyone who presented themselves. She slowly inched to the kitchen ready to attack when she heard her dad curse about not being able to find something. She let out a huge sigh which made her dad turn around abruptly. He greeted his daughter with q warm smile even though she could tell something was off. She asked what was the matter but he just assured her he was just preoccupied with some work he had to finish but for her not to worry. She decided not to push her father for any further answers as she knew him well and knew it would be futile. As Lina was heading up stairs to her room she received a text from Stanley Stanley: Hey! Lina: Hi! Stanley: I have something important to tell you, but it has to be in person. Can we meet up tomorrow? Lina: ok, but is everything ok?You’re scaring me a bit. Stanley: It will be I promise. Can’t go into detail on the phone. See you tomorrow at our spot at sundown? Lina: ok I’ll be there! End of text Lina dumped her bag on the floor and just stripped down in her undies. She face planted onto the bed exhausted, and just thought to herself, what a weird way to end a very weird day as she drifted off to sleep
