"Rachel forgot to give these to you before you left. I came looking for you and caught those interns bullying you."
Susan had overheard them plotting to follow me into the garage and take the ring from me. She had hurried off to tell Rachel, then returned with the envelope and several employees.
"Take these and head south. Don't ever come back again."
