Easton was taken to the police station by the men I had hired. Leah, who had been restrained by them, was released and regained her mobility. However, she remained silent, clearly frightened by the way I had just beaten Easton. As I stepped toward her, Leah instinctively recoiled, trembling with fear. “Stay away!
