In a state of restless anxiety, Tyler spent the next two hours outside of Rayna"s condominium, alternately sitting inside his car trying to keep warm, and pacing aimlessly in the cold night air, staring at her empty parking space while repeatedly dialing her home and cell numbers to no avail. He had even gone inside to quiz Mrs. Ansel on Rayna"s whereabouts. The older woman had appeared puzzled, and Tyler could hardly blame her, since for the second time in several days he was once again at her door begging to know where Rayna was. With a sad shake of her head, she told him that she wasn"t sure, although it wasn"t unusual for Rayna to arrive home late some evenings.
