I place my mother’s necklace in Jensen’s hand.
“Why are you giving me, mom’s necklace? Don’t tell me you’re using me to sell this? Does mom know?”
I shook my head as my brother blubbers some nonsense things.
“Mom told me to give it to you,” I said then he stared at the necklace.
“Too bad I won’t be seeing mom before I leave”, he smiled bitterly while he slipped the necklace into his pocket
“She’s just busy, don’t worry we’ll visit you there once she got home”
I just hope that I’ll find her faster. I can’t even look at my brother’s eyes with all the lies that I’ve been saying and with compelling him to leave the town for his safety. He double-checked his belongings then he turned to me again.
