I'm still in shock.
Not only have I lost Calum, but my best friend too. The pain in my chest is horrific, but I feel the need to explain myself.
Calum won't answer my calls, and of course, he completely blanks me at school. Kat hasn't said anything to me, and I decided to call her.

The call goes through, and I cover my eyes when she answers the phone.
"Hello?"
"Please don't hang up," I beg, as she exhales down the phone. "Can I please explain?"
Crippling nausea sweeps over me as tears prick my eyes. This is my best friend.
"Are you at home? Come over. You don't want your parents hearing it," Kat says before hanging up.
