Her First Love

Chapter 2

EMMA POV:

There was a group of 4-5 boys or you can say, Greek gods. Some of them were dressed in jeans and leather jackets kinda look like bad boys' image.

But what caught my attention was the guy from the morning. I know what you are thinking I am not talking about the hoodie boy but the one with blonde hair who passed me my schedule.

He was in the center and was standing out from the rest group.

Our eyes met for a second and he passed me a captivating smile. Luckily no one noticed.

Alyssa and I were checking them out when Kat spoke.

'They are the popular jocks of our university. And the one in the center is the captain of the basketball team and thanks to their looks most of the girls throw their selves on them.'

'Are you one of those girls?' Alyssa asked mischievously. I lightly elbowed to her side.

Kat laughed ' There was a time but now I have a boyfriend and no one looks more attractive to me than him.'

'Awwww' both me and Alyssa gushed at the same time.

'We have a class starting in a few minutes, see you soon!' i said to kat.

We both say our goodbyes and move to our next class.

We sat in the classroom together in the second row. Many students were already present in the class.

I internally groaned because it was a calculus class. Both Alyssa and I looked towards each other and slumped our heads on the table.

'If this course was not included in the program, I would never take it even in my dreams' i sighed.

'You are not alone dear' Alyssa said and we both laughed and hi-five each other.

Soon the class began and there enters our calculus teacher. He was an old man of age somewhat sixty. He gave his intro and started giving his lecture. It was like he was singing us a lullaby.

That class passed by slowly. Finally, after one hour of t*****e, the class ended. As soon as the teacher left the classroom, we were the first ones to leave. After getting out of the class we took a sigh of relief.

We were walking in the hallway when someone came from the back and suddenly BOOM in our ears. What do you expect? We are girls so the first thing we have done was shriek.

After our signature shriek, I and Alyssa both turned back to look at the culprit.

There stands Drake laughing loudly. It looks like he'll throw his organs out through his mouth at any moment.

I looked at Alyssa and she was pissed. I signaled her and she understands my plan. We both smirked and walk toward Drake who was still laughing. We both elbowed him in the stomach at the same time.

'What the....!' Drake grunted in pain

Now it was our turn to laugh. Evil much, right?.

Everyone in the hallway was watching us probably thinking of what these weirdos are doing. After laughing to our heart content and enjoying the moment, we all three moved together towards our next class.

My next class was advanced management. Alyssa and drake have a different class therefore I have to take it alone.

'How about we meet at the cafeteria after this class. We'll wait for our queen there' Alyssa said dramatically.

Both drake and I laughed at her antics.

'Ok as you order, my commander.' i saluted her.

I smiled and enter the class. There were a few students in the class. I sat down on my seat. There was some time for class to start so I checked my mobile phone. There were texts from my mom and dad.

'Sweetie, how is your day going?' mom messaged me.

'Yes mom, it's going great' i replied to her.

' If anyone tries to bully you just tell me I'll beat the sh** out of that monkey (biceps emoji).' i was smiling at my dad's message when someone tapped me on the shoulder. I looked up to find a girl wearing glasses and a ponytail.

'Can I sit with you?' the girl asked.

'Yes no problem.' i smiled at her.

She sat down and we chatted a little when the teacher enters the classroom.

The first day is full of introductions. The teacher gave his short intro and start giving a lecture. I noted down all the important points. Soon the class came to an end.

I collected all of my stuff and made my way towards the cafeteria. I started walking in the hallway. Kudos to me because I don't know where the cafeteria is. I tried searching but to no avail. I took a turn and saw the hoodie boy from morning who was standing in the corner.

His face was not covered in a hood now so I caught a glimpse of his face. He has dark black hair complimenting his midnight black eyes. Sharp jawline with thin plump lips and straight nose. In short, he has a gorgeous face with a well-built body.

I was staring at him when his eyes meet mine. I was caught red-handed checking him out. I tried to smile but he ignored me and walks away. What is wrong with this guy? I was thinking about my encounter but I pass it as a misunderstanding.

Oh, I was searching for a cafeteria. I totally forgot about that. I asked directions from a random girl.

'Hey can you tell me where the cafeteria is?' i asked.

'It's on the 2nd floor. Take a left turn and across the hallway, you'll find the cafeteria.' she replied and smiled.

There was something in her smile that I couldn't quite place. I smiled and thanked her for help.

I went to the second floor and turn left. When I reached the end of the hallway, there was a library instead of a cafeteria. I was puzzled. I indeed follow the directions correctly. This time instead of asking someone for directions I searched for the cafeteria myself on the 2nd floor.

I walked toward the right side of the floor and there I find the cafeteria. I mentally danced at my small victory and entered the cafeteria.

There in front of me was coming a Greek god I mean to say the basketball team captain. He waved in my direction.

I looked back to confirm whether he is waving at me or someone behind me.

He laughed and let me tell you he has the perfect teeth in the world. I am a little jealous of his teeth. I smiled sheepishly.

'Hey, I am Josh. I met you this morning, remember?' he said with his captivating smile.

'hey, I am Emma. Yes, I remember.' I replied.

He extended his hand and I took it. My hand was quite small as compared to his manly hands. As soon as our hands touched, it was like a small spark of electricity and my heart flutter. We both smiled.

' I have a practice now. See you soon'.

I said. 'Okay, do well.' He left the cafeteria after that.

I was unaware that I was getting jealous stares from some girls in the cafeteria. What do you expect from them when you talk with the most popular boy on your first day. I never thought even in my dreams that any famous boy will take interest in me. Everyone call me pretty or gorgeous but I never actually believe it. I am like any other normal girl. Despite my 5'3 height, I have curves in all the right places.

Someone was calling my name and I looked in the direction of the voice. It was Alyssa calling me at the top of her lungs.

I reached the table and sit down next to Alyssa.

At the table, Drake, Alyssa, Katherine and a boy that I don't know were present.

'He is my boyfriend Logan that I told you about' Kat answered my unasked question.

I greeted him and we both introduced ourselves. He was also a good-natured guy. The cafeteria was bustling and full of life. Everyone was busy eating and gossiping. We all were sitting across a round table. I was looking around and enjoying the carefree atmosphere of the cafeteria when suddenly Alyssa spoke.

'Why were you being late? Your class ended a while ago.'

Her voice came out muffled because her mouth was full of food. Everyone was looking at me expecting an answer except drake who was eating like a hungry lion. It looks like someone is coming to snatch his food the next second.

' You can slow down boy. No one is going to take your food away' Kat joked.

'It's a long story, let me get my food first.' i told everyone and get up from my seat.

After a short while, I returned back to my table holding my food tray containing beef burger, salad and soft drink.

I sat down at my spot and took a bite of my burger and began telling them the reason for my late coming.

'After attending class, I was heading towards cafeteria but I didn't know where the cafeteria was.' i told them.

' Same here. But we luckily found kat and she helped us' Alyssa told me about how she finds the cafeteria.

'Ok then how do you find it?' kat asked me

'I randomly asked some girl about directions but when I got there, there was a library instead of cafeteria'.

I obviously skip that part where I saw that hoodie boy.

Kat was trying hard to control her laughter.

'What happened.' i also smiled seeing her face.

'You were being ragged, my dear' Kat told me. Everyone burst into laughter. Soon understanding dawned upon me and I also joined them laughing. Now I know why the girl that gave me directions was smiling that way.

' We need a tour of the university to avoid such accidents otherwise next will be our turn to get ragged. ' Alyssa said while thinking.

'and Kat will be our tour guide' i added.

'With pleasure' she replied smiling.

Logan also cracked random jokes throughout the whole conversation. After some time, Logan phone began ringing. He excused himself to take that call.

After attending the call he returned and said 'An important work came up. I need to go.'

He kissed Kat on her cheeks and said his goodbyes.

We then continued eating and chatting about random stuff.

Katherine also told us about her ragging on her first day. I was mentally thanking God that my ragging was not as bad as hers.

A water bucket was placed at the top of the classroom door. As soon as she opened the door to enter, the bucket full of water fell on her. She was fully drenched on her first day. Bad, huh?

Time passes by and soon it was the time of our next class. We all exchanged our numbers to contact each other whenever we want. Me, Alyssa and Drake took our leave and moved toward our Economics class.

Day passed by quite quickly and soon all our classes came to an end.

We then moved out of the building. We passed many groups whose classes also seem to end. We reached the parking lot at our university.

There was a grey Mustang parked where we stopped.

'Look, That car is so gorgeous' i praised while pointing at it.

'That's my baby' Drake proudly said.

'Seriously I must say this one is hella beautiful'. I complimented his car.

'Thanks' drake happily replied.

Suddenly my phone rang. I checked the caller ID. It was from my brother Mason.

'Hello,' i said.

'Hey! How's everything going.? We have planned a dinner to celebrate your first day' my brother said through the phone.

'That's great. I am on my way home.'

I happily replied.

'Ok, Take care' my brother replied and hang up the phone.

Being the only daughter and sister has its perks. You are being pampered a lot and everyone will celebrate even the smallest of your moments.

'Okay, I'll take my leave' i said to Alyssa and Drake.

'We can give you a ride' Drake said.

'we?' i asked.

'Actually, Drake and I live in the same neighborhood. Today morning he offered me a ride and I grabbed this opportunity' Alyssa winked in my direction while pinching Drake's cheeks.

I smiled and said 'You two go. I will take the bus'.

Drake started the engine and Alyssa jumped in the car happily. She opened her door window and waved at me.

I waved back and they both drove away.

'Such an energetic girl'. I smiled mentally.

I made my way toward the bus station. There was some time for the bus to come. I took out my hands-free and played my favorite playlist. Soon the bus came and I started my way back.
