Thankfully, I was able to get back to the others without a major mishap.
They were all so busy with Hayley and no one paid me any mind. My eyes blurred as I headed for my seat. Rowan sat by the side, preoccupied with Aurora.
I wanted to pull him aside and tell him of Emerson’s sudden appearance and my hazardous state of mind but I couldn’t. He seemed to be having a swell time with Aurora and I didn’t want to come in between that.
With every second, I felt more dizzy and inebriated. The atmosphere was hot, so much so, I wanted to pull off my clothes. I got on my feet, unable to stand the discomfort.
I’ll just head out for a bit and get some fresh air. No one was paying attention to me anyway. I slipped out of the area, making my way into the crowd.
