The rest of the day was almost a blur.
Other than the fact we were all eagerly waiting for news from Rowan.
According to plans, Rowan was supposed to send a word to us by evening to tell us if their ambush went well or request more aid in case the mission went awry.
It was about five pm and there was no news from them. I hadn’t even set my eyes on Jasper since our little moment in the kitchen earlier in the day.
I couldn’t look for him or ask any questions either because I was too occupied with mother and Aurora who were almost losing their minds with worry.
