Adrian's face inched closer to her, and Anastasia felt an electrifying sensation in her hand, her heart nearly stopping.
Adrian's deep brown eyes were gazing at Anastasia with tenderness, as if looking at some rare treasure.
"It doesn't hurt." Anastasia said awkwardly, then quickly changed the subject. "I think it's the thugs lying on the floor who must be the ones in pain!"
Hearing this, Adrian glanced coldly at the men groaning in pain on the floor and said to Julian, "Julian, hand them over to the police."
Julian nodded.
Julian himself didn't quite understand what Adrian was thinking. This was clearly a great opportunity for Adrian to show his bravery in front of Anastasia.
But Adrian just stayed on the sidelines, slowly called the police, and even stopped Julian from helping.
