The next morning, Roman was acting all sweet, like nothing had happened the night before. But that was exactly it. Nothing had happened. He had rejected me. Room service presented us with different exotic cuisines, but as we sat at the table to eat, I couldn’t help but shoot daggers at him. He pretended not to notice, going on like nothing had changed. “Don’t eat too much,” he broke the silence, finally looking my way. “We have a long day ahead.” I ignored him, picking up a croissant and taking a big bite. I knew he was still watching me, but I didn’t care. That’s what you get for abandoning me last night, asshole. There was a knock on the door, Roman stood up to answer it. I heard him speaking with someone, then minutes later, he walked back into the room with a couple of clothes.
