~~~~~Trinity~~~~~
"Taking all of that into consideration, Miss Emory, you seem overly hostile. It's easy to get caught up in appearances, however, in this industry, surely you know how negative it is to have feelings for your client." Trinity stated more than asked as she leaned back against her chair and crossed her legs. "Viewing from the outside in, you don't just see Mister Coster as a client, do you? Tell me you surely don’t expect to tame him. After all, he’s KNOWN for having wandering eyes. And trying to scare off a potential partner through hostility won’t always work, especially if you are attempting a verbal sparring match with a world renown author."
Trinity felt amused as she watched the formerly hostile girl gulp. She took a sip of her wine, carefully licking her lips to draw Mister Coster’s gaze, before looking out the window beside her. If Miss Emory was really in love with him, Trinity would do her duty as a woman to point out how flawed her view of Mister Coster was. Trinity already knew from the stories her author friend told her this morning.
"The power of words is a wonderful thing; don't you think Thomas?" Trinity questioned turning the knife a bit. "After all, my body isn't the only thing I have at my disposal."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Miss Emory said turning to look at Jeriah before frowning when she noticed his gaze was on Trinity's profile. "I don't have feelings for anyone."
Trinity turned back to face her with a small smile playing on her lips. Arching her brow, she turned to meet Mister Coster's gaze head on. Placing her hands on the table, she found her fork and 'accidently' knocked it off the table between her and Mister Coster.
"Oops." Trinity giggled innocently before leaning down to reach for her fork. "I seem to have fumble fingers today."
She made it obvious that she was going to use his mid-thigh to balance in her chair as she leaned down. Trinity smirked when she felt his skin jump before grabbing her fork and sitting back up.
"Sorry about that, Mister Coster." She said replying back while looking under her lashes at him. "I'm normally not so forward, but I didn't want to fall."
~~~~~Jeriah~~~~~
Jeriah had been silently observing the situation when the touch of her hand made him jump. He knew Mary had a torch for him, and he had s*x with her a couple times, but not in several weeks. He had been wanting to end things with her, but could not find the time. Clearly, Miss Faith was looking to prove a point, and it was working well, as Mary was quietly seething from anger. Miss Faith is working well with what she has, covering up all of her well-defined assets, and using gestures and body language to drive it home.
Jeriah had lost his ability to speak when he saw the way she tossed her hair behind her shoulder and ran her fingers through it. Even under the red of her turtleneck, the flesh that hid there looked delicious enough to taste. She was a woman that knew clearly what she had, and was more than willing to use that to prove a point. Just as he was a man that knew how to play women. Swallowing down a gulp of his wine, he finally remembered the purpose for this meeting and his gaze met hers.
"Back to what we were discussing, I really hope you'll let us proceed with Tantalizing Love as a movie. I would love to really bring your story to life." Jeriah finally said while clearing his throat. "It sounds like a fine idea, if I do say so myself."
"Hmm." Jeriah watched as Trinity pursed her lips, unable to take his gaze off them. "It is quite the curious proposal. What makes my novel so interesting for you? Besides the s*x?"
Immediately regretting bringing up the s*x right off the bat, especially after being so thoroughly played with, he sighed inwardly. He kept his gaze on her as she smirked, seemingly enjoying making him squirm before she lifted her glass and took a sip, the slow movement of her lips making the devil on his shoulder beg.
"I am known as the best Director to oversee a Love Story. Despite being loyal to my movies, I also hold quite a title in the industry. Getting your story out, in movie form, will be good for your future titles." He replied schooling his expression into some semblance of calm. "Plus, the profits would be enormous."
Jeriah observed her for a reaction as their meal was brought out, and found amusement in her eyes as she laughed at his statement. He found himself completely ignoring everyone else finding himself wanting to conquer her even more. Of course, the higher the mountain, the tougher the climb. Jeriah had not yet found a woman he could not seduce, so it was not out of the realm of possibilities.
"I'm not overly concerned about profits. I'm still making royalties off of the third edition of Tantalizing Love." Trinity replied with an obvious smirk of pride. "Plus, my other works draw in more than enough now, as well. Even were Tantalizing Love to be forgotten, I have other stories."
"Wait, you said third edition?" Mary finally interrupted the conversation, annoyance still obvious. "What's the difference between the first and third?"
"You really don't know anything about Miss Faith?" Mister Addison asked incredulously. "The first edition sold out within a week and was released in the States only. The second edition sold out a month after the first and was released in other major countries with the third being released worldwide. The third edition still hasn't sold out, but is still selling well enough for bookstores to keep it on the shelves. Miss Faith sells on average, two thousand copies a month of Tantalizing Love."
"Thomas, please." Miss Faith said with a slight blush. "When I first wrote the story, I wasn't expecting it to go international. When it did, I was quite surprised."
